Question for optics experts! I have just bought a Paton Hawksley pocket spectroscope. It gives a beautiful spectrum (can see Fraunhofer lines) but the "zero order" (if it is that) is dispersed. We have some ideas why but has anyone taken one apart to see what's inside?
