I vecchi contadini la chiamavano la fase dei “Santi di Ghiaccio”. E quest’anno, curiosamente, sembra voler rispettare il calendario. Tra l’11 e il 15 maggio, secondo la tradizione popolare europea, la primavera può ancora mostrare il suo lato freddo con notti più rigide, aria instabile, rischio di colpi di freddo tardivi nelle campagne e nelle vallate. Non è una legge meteorologica ovviamente ma nasceva dall’osservazione. A maggio il Sole è già forte, però l’atmosfera può ancora aprire la porta a discese fresche dal Nord Atlantico o dall’Europa centro-settentrionale. E proprio nei prossimi giorni l'Europa Centro-Occidentale ed in parte anche l’Italia potrebbe vivere una fase molto dinamica, con correnti più fresche, instabilità, piogge e temperature sotto la media del periodo soprattutto al Centro-Nord. Il coinvolgimento del nostro paese sembra esserci tra il 14 ed il 16 maggio. I Santi di Ghiaccio non “prevedono” il tempo però ci ricordano una cosa semplice. Fino alla terza decade di maggio, la primavera non ha ancora consegnato le chiavi all’estate.
