Unrealistic maybe, but there was a time when a website didn't need to drive half a trillion in ad revenue to be popular and useful to people. And of course they all do it, if you are entertained by what passes as content on tiktok and youtube today, then you should just disregard everything I say - it is already too late for you. And lastly, If someone is generating content that is worth paying for, they will find an avenue to sell that content - content creators have been around for a while now, and before spamming non stop slop content was the popular way to game clicks for cash, worthwhile creators had sponsors, viewer driven donations/subscriptions, ad powered blogs, partnerships - all manner of income funnels that didn't incentivize turning the platform into an endless engagement farm

Yah, it definitely is. I've had the same account since 2011 - I used twitter to tweet about things relevant to my personal friend group. It was great, it felt personal, while at the same time, you were connected to other real people from all walks - and if you could tag someone and reach out, get them to engage, you knew you were still talking to another person simply putting their thoughts and words online for the record - nowadays its just a gamified side hustle

Well... exactly. The structure of the monetization is the problem, why should simple clicks be the determining factor in whether or not to pay creators? If a creator is putting out quality content, they have all sorts of revenue funnels to explore that don't involve turning every platform into meaningless engagement farming click bait. And if you mean to imply that my comment is somehow seeking engagement, I am not even close to the qualifications to even apply to be monetized so.. missed me with that one 😂

That was the whole point of my reply to Elon. Glad you could finally come full circle and make a simple observation of the point I was trying to make in the first place. But on the other hand, and yes I guess this IS a personal attack now - You have proven to be the perfect NPC archetype to be farmed into oblivion by the "influencer" market of today. As you sit here, replying to me over and over again, seeing each engagement as a tiny little battle you must fight to defend your self worth - when in reality, it makes no difference whether you had decided to announce your existence or not - it's all in your head Remember, you engaged ME, not the other way around

I promise you, YOUR personal experience, isn't improved by paying those creators you like based on how many clicks they can get within a 3 month pay period. If those creators for example, were rewarded for consistently putting out competitive value within their niche, instead of just how many people they can trick into clicking to expand their posts, you would enjoy those posts THAT much more than you already do. My comparison wasn't about my experience vs yours, genius, it was about OUR experience as users, vs those who are being paid to farm your attention.

It's not about sharing MY ideas, I am largely a simple reader/watcher of content here. I'm sorry that my idea would cause your favorite accounts to lose a side-hustle, but to be honest, that isn't mine or any other users problem. The whole reason they are able to do that, is because people want to use this platform for entertainment. Damaging the entertainment value the platform brings to the user, so that someone has the opportunity to farm the attention of the userbase with incentivized ideas - causes people like me to want to use the platform less. Less human users = less effective ads = less ad revenue for the company. Which inevitably leads to your friend not making any money with their side hustle. If YOUR friends want to make money with content, THEY should consider using a platform where people can go and pay to see their content. If it is quality, and engaging, why wouldn't they? Because it isn't. X Incentivizes clicks regardless of content, and that is the problem.

@graymatter1703 A lot of people I follow and enjoy do use the ad-rev. money to supplement their regular income - harming their bottom line because of spammers is a bad idea , sorry. If you want to "share your ideas" , go on 4chan or bitchute. There you're able to share all sorts of those.
