@isfjcutebear Notice how foreign workers are always indians and arabs. Japan could get millions of whites to work for low, low wages out of pure love for Japan, yet it has to be browns.

The real problem isn’t monetization, it’s fake accounts and people misusing celebrity names. That’s where the verification system went wrong... you could literally call yourself Donald Trump and get verified. Nikita should fix that without undoing the opportunities monetization has created.

I’d prefer they scrap the entire monetisation process Return Twitter to what it was, an open platform where voices mattered more than payouts.

@tomirex @Steadi_lady Jack wasn’t in charge anymore when it was sold. He had no control. It was the Twitter board at the time. Elon even backed away and they forced him to honour his word and buy it threatening to sue him.

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

@TheQuartering The issue is that it affected accounts beyond politics (which is the main problem). Like some flower shop in Switzerland sharing tips about how to grow flowers or something would also be affected by that decision. Same for sport, tech, cars, travels, or whatever.

Musk must have realized that if Twitter deboosted certain Third World regions, a lot of the red meat pro-MAGA and far-right propaganda that he enjoys (like that from Ian Miles Cheong and Inevitable West) would get less circulation.

@HouMuza @lacho_ai @WhiteHouse @GeorgeDragonjr1 What? Biden/Kamela armed & supported Isreal during the flattening of gaza. Biden "I'm a zionist" at the Aipac convention. Aipac runs both parties. Biden didn't start wars directly, but he certainly did by proxy like in Ukraine the largest conflict in Europe since ww2.

100%. The barrier to creating content on here is just too low to monetize it. Same issue will be faced by YouTube if they don’t get ahead of it because slop and shorts are becoming easier to generate. At least there, you need to work to build an audience before anything meaningful kicks in.

I'm based in France, but 43% of my audience is American. I know many of us are in the same situation. To reach a wider audience, all my posts are in English, the international language. Those who cause trouble may be punished, but with this change, which will significantly reduce our earnings, you're also penalizing a number of accounts that use the international language without any ill intent. X tells us that videos and new, high-quality content will be prioritized, but this change will, on the contrary, drastically reduce our earnings. Is there any way to reverse this decision, please?🥺 @XCreators @X @nikitabier @elonmusk

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

@elonmusk @dvorahfr With respect, Fck that. End the rev sharing completely. The internet isn't even worth using anymore. Make X the last place online where people share ideas, not for clicks, not for ad revenue, but simply to inspire thought in their fellow user.

@elonmusk @dvorahfr Nikita is about to reduce a global town square into a village market just to protect the revenue sharing. Some of us will have no complaints if you took away the revenue sharing and focused on building X around user experience.
