I put stickers on any A+ writing assignment for my undergrads bc that was my favorite part of playing school w my sister when I was younger & why do we teach if we aren’t going to make it fun?

@Scholar_Melinda Currently studying on Ho-Chunk land. Was lucky enough to get my first MA studying on Muwekma Ohlone land in a department that works with the tribe in their fight to be regranted federal recognition.

@DocDre Yep- when I was advising a younger grad student about applying to AoIR, I made sure to let them know that it skews quant and we'll often end up with reviewers who don't understand our rhetorical methods or their validity.

Let’s not leave out how social science and computational researchers do so much to devalue qual methods We have this problem almost* every year for AoIR *shoutout to Adrianne Shaw for her work as 2x AoIR program chair…she did extra work to get qual studies evaluated properly
