Iranian Resistance Was Never a Victim Narrative!
Over the past 47 years of brutality by the Islamic Republic against the Iranian people, we have always had agency.
Every time we rose up, we did not self-victimise . We did not beg for international sympathy or manipulate emotions. We acted with agency. We acknowledged our past. We chose our path. We moved through the most peaceful ways possible to get here.
Only months after , Islamists took the people’s revolution, stole it, and labelled it as their own. We protested compulsory hijab we said clearly: we did have a revolution to go backwards
We asked for freedom of speech.
We asked for free journalism.
We asked for our vote.
We did everything we could.
We never obeyed. We never looked weak. We never begged.
I believe this is one of the reasons many so-called leftist activists do not support Iranian freedom. They want to be survivers in their own minds. They want victims to rescue. They want to feel like heroes. But we are not weak enough for them.
We are strong. We are brave. We stand up after every failure. And supporting us gives them no satisfaction, because they don’t get to play the hero.
So let them stay silent. We don’t need delusional heroes.
After the 7 October massacre, when Israel did not release footage, they immediately said it was fake, made up, staged. They don’t understand dignity. Israel did not want to sell the suffering of its people to feed delusional heroes. They refused to trade pain for validation.
They never get that.
Just like today, — like Iranians do. In their minds, no one would do something that brave without being paid. They don’t comprehend that real heroes take to the streets knowing they could get killed
That alone tells you everything.
So why would we need their support?
We don’t.
