GitHub CoPilot wasn't my favorite UI, but it had a very attractive price point to use Opus. I guess they are fixing that with 4.7. 🤷

And GPT 5.4 did the same thing. 🤯
But it took like 5 prompts as it was avoiding the actual work and I forced it back to it. So I guess software is solved and bug free now. Not.

😂 I just wasted $30 on Opus 4.7 XHigh with a single prompt. 💸
Gave it an bug report with full stack trace, and it went through the git history to find an already fixed(!) bug and verified this is fixed now with a redundant test. 🤦

Opus 4.7 first-hour impressions
Ran the canvas tree growth test twice.
4.6: nailed the animation both times
4.7: static tree, no growth animation — twice
4.7's thinking is noticeably shorter and faster though (trimmed some 4.6 thinking in the clip for pacing).
Not the upgrade direction I expected on this one.
