The single most overlooked growth channel for DTC brands is TV. I've helped a number of 8-figure brands profitably scale using TV as the main growth engine. Here is why TV is so powerful.👇

Clipping done right drives sales 💰 Started working with 2 ecom brands last month. One pushed to Amazon, the other pushed to their Shopify. The results? Shopify = 16% increase in sales Amazon = 22% increase in sales (this is before we optimize CTA's & content)

I turned off paids ads completely for my app and replaced it with clipping. Let me explain why... Last month I started an experiment: what would happen if I cut paid spend completely in favor of clipping? The results: clipping is on pace to get more paid users than ads were for a fraction of the cost. The best part, we're only 1 month in. Clipping content is going to keep being optimized and improved. This is a massive unlock 🔥

@codyplof I found Replit about six weeks ago, and now we run all internal ops in apps I built. 2 weeks from nothing to usable. Incredible platform.

I spent a few hours this morning on Replit building something (started w/ code from a claude artifact) and I am blown away by Replit. It's truly a magical software experience, both on the front end ux and back end. I'll do all my vibe coding in there now.

This one hurts. Pour one out for the greatest unprofitable service NYC ever saw.

If you’re a SAAS founder or agency owner, here’s some advice from a 9 figure DTC CEO: 1. Its a very small industry. Don’t put a logo on your website unless you have proper consent to do so. 2. Even if you do, you should only do so if you know the brand is extremely happy. People will reach out to me if they see us, and I’ll always be honest. I’ve definitely killed deals this way. 3. You need to provide value before trying to get on a call. I get asked to do calls about 40 times a week. If I said yes to everyone, I’d get no work done. Even if we’ve been talking and I show interest, give me more information before offering a call. And don’t email it to me, my inbox is as bad as my calendar. If we are Dming, send me the info to my DMs. If you’re not willing to send me a personalized loom, it’s not a great sign. If you are, I can tell you care and I want to know more. 4. Again, it’s a super small industry and we all talk. Product is the most important thing and results speak. If you want me to tell others, I’ll do so for free if I’m show happy because I want others to win too. Word will also get around if you’re a good team or not. Everyone knows @ringmybeller and team are the best in the game. Everyone knows their competitors reputation as well. Play the long game, build a great product, and treat brands well and you will do well. 5. We don’t just care about incrementality with our paid media spend. The best way to prove value is with incremental results. Most apps won’t want to do this because it challenges their effectiveness. Don’t try to sell me on total revenue if most of it was already happening. Speaking of it, Postscript is one of the only SAAS vendors that has run a holdout for me. I wang to see the good guys win. A few agencies and softwares I can proudly support and recommend: 1. Testing- @Intelligems 2. SMS- @PostscriptIO 3. Dev Agency - @AndrewDurot 4. Incrementality - @HausAnalytics 5. TV - @gregMschwartz 6. MTA - @northbeam 6. Quizzes and more - @OctaneAI

@Tshea0314 @seanfrank Not a doctor, but I did stay… Fwiw, this is a common ask, and a point of frustration for me on behalf of brands I work with. Network credit is the best solution for now. The apps are a pain, but worth it for the terms.

I spend 6 figures a week on linear TV. I use tatari. I want to try other providers. My biggest ASK is net terms. Prepaying for TV is annoying. Anyone I should talk too?

@RosenZone @seanfrank I’m sure you’ve heard about the network credit route — it’s messy but can help. No additional tricks up my sleeve at the moment.

I'm feeling the holiday spirit, and there's too much negativity on here. I want to shout out some partners that I can vouch for. We expect a lot from our partners and these always deliver: 1. Odyssey Ad Creative - We've had terrible experiences with most ad creative agencies. Odyssey is the only one we've scaled hard with. Small team so you can get great attention. @akejabrams 2. Household/ @gregMschwartz Weve gone from $0 to close to 20% of our spend on TV. Greg has managed it the whole way. We talked a year and a half ago, set a plan and did our first shoot and then launched in Dec. It's been huge for our growth. Another very small agency, so we get Greg on calls every week. 3. KNO / @JeremiahPrummer. Jeremiah is one of the best dudes in DTC and he's always willing to help with some analysis. 4. Ecom Experts / @AndrewDurot . I tweeted about them a few weeks ago. They saved our ass for free before BFCM. Their level of support is next level. Pretty sure Andrew was fixing a bug for us while his wife was in labor. Does your agency do that? 5. @oliviaakory / Haus. Olivia is one of the smartest and bets people in our space. Haus has been a godsend for us. I am an advisor to them, but I recommend Haus for one reason. We spend many millions on ads and I need to know what's working and what's not. Haus is the only causal method. 6. @Agentiohq. Been talking a lot about them because I'm so excited to launch. Their team is also great, they will hop on calls at any time to troubleshoot or give advice. They even drove a few hours out to our office to brainstorm. 7. Gatemaker / @AshtonWall is the best influencer mind out there. We have learned a ton from her and her agency.

@zachmstuck Would've loved to try, but networks need to see creatives for S&P, wires need to be sent, orders need to be sent typically the week prior -- a lot of barriers. If you want to get them up week of 12/2 or MAYBE next week lmk.

Who can get me linear ads live this week? Unrealistic expectation. Have a product/offer/creative that's ripping on CTV/YouTube and want to scale into linear. Who should I talk with?

Who’s the go-to for killer Connected TV / Linear ad creative? 📺 Looking for a partner to help scale @drinkbrez & @everydaydose. Ideally open to a % of ad spend as part of the cost model.

I was wrong about TV ads. I thought they were just for big brands with big budgets. But here's what I learned from an expert: DTC brands are already making millions (using TV ads in ways I never expected!) Let me show you how 👇 (save this thread)

Dave Portnoy opened up a Moon Pod and gave me the best testimonial of all time….for FREE. His lawyers called and threatened me after🤣🤣 but it was worth it. Just listen to how many genius one liners he drops in 30 seconds about how amazing Moon Pod is. If I paid the best marketing agency in the world $10,000,000 they still could NEVER come up with bangers like these.

what DTC brands have absolutely figured out YouTube advertising? Not necessarily creating organic content for YouTube - just very efficiently scaling paid advertising on YouTube Top 5 DTC brands?
