@dakami "Necessary lies"? Imagine if everyone knew the reality that insiders know and operate in. Wouldn't that be preferable over "outsiders" believing in "lies"?

I'm increasingly thinking that every functioning system has two forms: The abstraction that outsiders are led to believe, and the reality that insiders actually and carefully operate. You don't incrementally learn a system. You eventually unlearn its necessary lies.

@markgurman "But really it comes down to the memory, and Apple should probably just be straightforward about that with customers." Apple can upgrade Siri on 6GB iPhones w/o requiring customers to buy new; Alexa is better at answering basic queries. Apple needs more criticism on this.
