what's the weirdest video game music you've ever heard? - warp zone 2 is at a whopping 3.5 hours and damn near finished, but i can't help but think this could be another 4:20-length adventure. link me the most absurd VGM you can think of, and there's a chance it might appear. 👍

@Dachsjaeger The Doom3 tech was amazing when it released. The way they integrated animation into the game was another factor that really grounded everything in the world. From memory there was little to no sliding with walk cycles, which can often break immersion if it’s missing

But what about player interactivity? Physics being a core part of a game loop? I have yet to see that in a large way in the AAA space so far. Something as daring as Red Faction Guerilla? Hmmm... time will tell. I hope that large scale interactivity comes back.

We all have our preferences, but one that I could never get over in VG graphics is thanks to Doom 3. When idtech4 was shown off at Macworld 2001 running on Geforce 3 I was struck by Carmack saying "..the final unification of lighting and shadowing across all surfaces in a game.."

Made on my PS5, upscaled/detailed with Magnific ai. Still the best example of an AI process where the end result feels like my work more than the AI's. This was sculpted from scratch in perfect zen flow with two move controllers (not in VR). I didn't see a single wireframe view during the whole process, and I didn't wait for any process to finish. It was all real-time, with 100% focus on the artwork itself. Check out the🧵for the original image. #art #ai
