Hawthorn player recap ⬇️ from their pre-season clash against Geelong. Hawthorn 16.15.111 v Geelong 14.10.94 Harry Morrison- Played the second half on the wing. Quiet. Likely to start the season in the VFL Mitch Lewis- Worked hard as a key forward. Kicked multiple goals. 🤞 he can stay fit. Difference maker Jai Newcombe- ⭐️ On-ball all game. 💪 as always. Jarman Impey- usual role across half back. Great 🏃‍♂️ all game. Kicked a nice goal Nick Watson- lively as a forward pocket. Had a few CBA’s. Kicked multiple goals James Sicily - Only played the first half. Looked good in defence Ned Reeves- Second ruck rotating with Meek. Played well. In the mix for opening round. Dylan Moore- Elite. Half forward. Also had time on-ball with some CBA’s. Worked hard up the ground. Kicked multiple goals Connor Macdonald- started on-ball and rotated half forward. Found a lot of the ball. Big year coming. Karl Amon- Elite across half back Connor Nash- Part of second midfield rotation. Also played wing. Kicked a great goal. Calsher Dear- injured in the first quarter. Kick in the 🥜. Came back on and competed well all game. Jack Scrimshaw- Rock solid down back Massimo D’Ambrosio- Wing role. Quiet. Lloyd Meek- starting ruck. Excellent around the ground. Lost weight and looking 💪 Mabior Chol- worked hard as a key forward but was quiet. Finn Maginness- High forward role. No midfield time. Skills still a worry. Noah Mraz- played down back on Shannon Neale at times. Looked good. Will debut in 2026. Josh Weddle- played everywhere. Also provided great 🏃‍♂️. Big year coming. ✍️ coming soon. Josh Ward- started on-ball. Worked hard all game. Number 2 mid behind Newcombe. Best mid today. Massive year ahead. Bodie Ryan- Played across half back. Looked good. Chance to debut in 2026. Cam Mackenzie- rotating between wing and on-ball. Ran hard all game. Looked good. In the mix for opening round. Aidan Schubert- Low game time. Played key forward and showed great signs. Big development year coming in the VFL. Draft steal. Sam Butler- Brilliant across half forward. Great tackling and found the ball. Kicked multiple goals. Deserves to be in “Best 23” Ollie Greeves- Played the second half. Rotated between half forward and midfield. Quiet. Will start the season in the VFL. Max Ramsden- Only played the last quarter. Kicked a goal. Will start the season in the VFL Flynn Perez- looked good across half back. Likely to get SSP spot. Bailey MacDonald - Played the second half across half back. Looked good. Henry Hustwaite-Only played the last quarter. Will start the season in the VFL Jack Riding- finds the ball, hard at it but skills need work. The lions high intensity training today: The last one before a practice game on Wednesday vs Carlton They did a lot of match sim game situations: - Lachie Neale, Josh Dunkley, Will Ashcroft starting 3 mids. - Neale sharp again - Dayne Zorko unreal didn’t turn it over. - Jasper Fletcher half back role looks locked. - Kiddy Coleman was 60% HB - 40% HF No wing time. Although He looks real good at half forward finding heaps of it and looks like an extra mid. Probably behind Neale and Zorko for looking the best out there, very clean and kicking elite. - Zac Bailey a lot of mid time but same role HF/ Mid - Annable, Marshall, Reville all rotated wing roles it seems those 3 are fighting for that spot round 1. - Draper & Payne Did intense running session didn’t do match main match sim. The lions back set up is very interesting I think Coleman being flexible helps them get even better. But it looks like Fletcher, Zorko, Wilmott they don’t want to move at all. 5 on the bench helps them big time they all play and most likely rotate. Tough to gauge but did my best! #AFLFantasy #Supercoach
