@imzispoms kdb arguably would have thrived far more in a transition heavy system due to his ability to carry the ball and play the perfect pass in the counter. i don’t see how the argument that kdb couldn’t thrive in this united system makes sense.

KDB is the goat because he was a physically unstoppable technically perfect direct player. but he MASSIVELY benefited from the platform Pep built around him for City to retain pressure and control teams while he had the license to launch passes

"KDB also had better sense of when to wait for the pass to open up instead of forcing it"❌❌❌ nope. KDB obviously clear of Bruno but he was just as much of a pass spammer as Bruno but actually had a retentive system around him to clean up after his directness in a way Bruno couldn't. Bruno also has become a better associative player than him this season with his short passing and pausa improvements
Raj Chohan@rajsinghchohan

Nope. KDB had better creative actions on the run than Bruno and was also more two-footed. KDB also had better sense of when to wait for the pass to open up instead of forcing it. KDB could also create from zones that Bruno could simply not access due to superior physical traits.

@gregmcfc The one on Hato was a pen. The Khusanov on Pedro was sus and could’ve been a pen and could be argued. But I’m not mad about that one unlike the Hato one lol

@Salibasexual02 @ewan10i not necessarily. if the players are to add depth like what you and to an extent liverpool did it’s more so just strengthening imo. if it’s to replace key players that’s what makes it a rebuild.

@Salibasexual02 @ewan10i it’s a rebuild because of all the players we’ve had to replace. we’ve won two trophies and we were in a title race despite being very inconsistent and at times terrible. next season we’ll likely be stronger so this season has been fine.

@ewan10i No, it’s failure, he didn’t spend 500m in 12 months then 100m in Jan to win domestic cups and it’s not a rebuild when he brought in less players than Arsenal did last Summer, he’s judged on the PL and CL.
