President Zelensky has given up on Donald Trump and will secure support from the Gulf States to ensure Ukraine's continued progress against Russia. This move is equally embarrassing to Europe and the United States.
Trump could get a win in Ukraine based on his earlier idea: ceasefire in place + security for Ukraine w/Ukrainians in front, Europeans on the ground, & US power as back up. That's realistic & would be a strategic win for Ukraine, the US & the free world.
Since January 2025, the Trump administration has consistently: pressured Kyiv, not Moscow; aligned with Russia; and disregarded its core alliance commitments. Why would Ukraine give up land for a security guarantee that would be nothing of the kind? reuters.com/business/aeros…
Acceding to this demand would be a massive strategic error. The appetite grows with the conquest.

I’m not sure I understand what the value of these supposed “peace talks” are if all that’s being demanded of Ukraine by the US is to give up territory that Russia can’t win militarily. The US has stopped funding Ukraine so what’s in it for Ukraine?

There was definitely an absurd liberal cult of Mueller, and some BluAnon conspiracy theorizing too, but there was nothing spurious about the Trump-Russia relationship, the interference in the 2016 election, or Trump’s obstruction of justice and coverup. Mueller’s great sin was pulling his punches in his report and then, even more so, in his Congressional testimony. Oh, and allowing Bill Barr to misrepresent everything.
