@bbelderbos Usually always "from pathlib import Path". The reason: explicit dependencies. Now the top of the module shows that I depend on the class "Path" but on nothing else from "pathlib".

How do you use imports in #Python? import pathlib ... pathlib.Path(... or: from pathlib import Path ... Path(... ... and why?

@lucyfedia @kiran_p thanks! Good Insights in the talk. Whats in your experience the prefered type of interface (from data user perspective) to the data that is accessible, discoverable, etc? Direct access to a RDBMS, REST Interface, Programming Library?

Is there any information why the minister of defence would cancel such a long planned catastrophe drill at EMS? #EMS2019

But actually the next best thing todo would be to go on organized demos. That would be start but feels not efficient.

For instance I want to provoke change in state politics regarding immigration politics and rhetorics. I feel the most efficient would be to get involved with politics directly either joining a party or talking to representatives.

Sometimes I feel like I have “efficiency deficiency syndrome“. I don't start working on a subject because I'm afraid the way I currently would approach it is not the most efficient manner possible.

I'm getting more and more into statistics and data science (because of a new job) and it is a really fun ride! There is so much stuff to explore that you usually don't touch as a software engineer. And on that journey I just discovered the DataSaurus 🦖autodeskresearch.com/publications/s…

@nanobox_io Just discovered your service and it all looks super promising! What I didn't find: Do you support serverless functions, like lambda to be managed by nanobox?

Alrighty, API Star 0.4 is out... github.com/encode/apistar 🌟 Really big overhaul & several things taken out for now, but I'm very happy with how it's looking now.

@uninen Vue does look very interesting. I’d have to give it a shot in some side project since there aren’t any Vue work projects on the horizon. Is there anything out there better than DRF?

What’s your dream dev stack? Not necessarily one that you work with, but one that you’d like to work with. Call me old school, but I’d go for a Django / Wagtail (if CMS is required) backend with DRF and React frontend. #django #react #wagtail
