I was surprised at what a difference it's made. I won't say we're never late now, but it's been a huge improvement! My youngest is now reminding me what we need to do 😅 DM or reply if you'd like to try it with your family!

I'll admit, mornings in our house can be chaotic. Someone always ended up yelling "we're going to be late!" So over the holidays my son and I built a little app. Now my kids can see how much time they have and tick off tasks to earn collectible stickers 🎉

@dsteppenbeck I’ve heard Apple gives you a bit of a boost when you launch and ratings velocity also plays a part.

I still don’t really understand ASO at all. Take this competitor app for example (in the screenshot), found after searching for “habit tracker” in the US App Store: It was released about 7 months ago, has 36 ratings, and appears at raking ~30 in the search results. On the other hand, mine was released about 14 months ago, has 155 ratings, and doesn’t even appear in the top 200. Also, mine is currently being featured in the US App Store and I’m running ASA for keyword “habit tracker”. So, why is the competitor app showing higher in the rankings above mine? What could I likely be doing badly and what suggestions does anyone have to improve things?

This past weekend I used Claude Code to bring SketchChair back from the dead. It’s surprisingly moving to see an AI help revive old but still-useful software. Makes you wonder how many forgotten projects could come back with a little push.
