Kritikerne av Magnus Carlsen sier at han bare beholder ratingen sin fordi han ikke spiller. Og så stiller han i en turnering og går opp 1 poeng. Blir morsomt med Norway Chess på hjemmebane i Oslo om to uker med en Carlsen som har spilt seg varm i Sverige!

Trying to enroll in the Apple Developer Program as a Norwegian company. Apple asked for our business registration certificate, so I sent it from Brønnøysund Register Centre , Norway's ONLY official business registry. Their response? "Please provide a document not downloaded from your government website." That IS the only source. They also asked for proof of employment at my own company. I'm the co-founder. We have no employees. They want me to write a letter to myself confirming I work for myself. Week 3 of this process. What a completely hopeless and American process 🙃

@gressli @TarjeiJS You forget SmartFish Chess Masters in Drammen Dec. '04-Jan. '05, where he played Korchnoi, Shirov etc.

Trying to remember the last time Carlsen played a classical (OTB) tournament in Oslo (team games excluded). I think we have to go back to 2003, unless we consider the playoff for the title of Norwegian Champion in 2006. (CC @gressli)

@arnsholt @TarjeiJS Maybeeee, but that was 45 for 40 moves and 15 mins for the rest of the game, so it wasn’t classical at the time.

@TarjeiJS @gressli I’d count the Fischer random played at Henie Onstad, even if it’s not strictly within the bounds of Oslo proper.

@gressli That was Gausdal Classics 2007, he then had Arctic Chess Challenge in Tromsø 2007, then came Norway Chess in 2013. That's it!
