Tell them how critical it is for the #FDA to grant safe & effective #NUROWN Accelerated Approval with a Phase 4 confirmatory study. This is EXTREMELY EASY & takes very little time. ALS is missing a leader at the most pivotal moment in ALS history. I was watching this video of Larry Kramer below to see the necessary "straight talk" leadership for a terminal disease that has been marginalized. I suspect that #ALS has taken the fight out of the most effective & talented leaders. ALS has a natural progression in its victims. It makes even the strongest people extraordinarily vulnerable and mentally weak. Not everyone, but most with ALS think, 'surely our suffering can't be ignored.' ALS patients are so dependent on the world for everything that we don't want to upset anyone. Even our dying leaders tell us things like, 'don't upset the #FDA because they might get angry and not help us.' Generations have tried this type of passive advocacy with no success. Compare our advocacy to the HIV ACT-UP protests that DEMANDED action. Our silent leaders only recently spoke up about the Nurown fight only to lull ALS activists into passivity. ALS leaders are seemingly more concerned with not hurting feelings rather than being angry & speaking up about the injustice that just left Betsy (among many others) to die denied #Nurown despite a complete halt in her progression. ALL with ALS are dying from that same injustice. I pray that an ALS leader shows up before it's too late. #Nurown #EndALS

@gretchenroy1 Hi Gretchen, we haven't determined exactly how we're going to arrange the flags, but they will be in some sort of order (likely alphabetical) that will make it much easier for specific flags to be found. We will also have volunteers taking photos of every flag. More info soon!
