Finished soldering of garden sensors (water tank temperature and height) => LoRa => home assistant integration where I can see how much water remains and trigger well pump. Electronics ready. Got to finish prototyping all 3D print objects and solar panel power to figure out now.

Revamping my home made esp32 tibetan clock driver. 6 months later, re-code-vibed a new firmware from zero with pio, it's 10 times faster with Claude Code. smooth Home Assistant integration. (the thing is a bit far from wifi tho)

Seems like a good opportunity to share a trick I used on the React Aria website to make headings scale to fit the viewport on mobile, even with SSR.
I used fontkit, a library I wrote 10 years ago to parse fonts and layout glyphs, to measure the width of the heading at build time in the "em" unit.
width = font.layout('DateRangePicker').advanceWidth / font.unitsPerEm
This is a size independent measurement using the font's internal metrics. When multiplied by any font size, you get the pixel width of the text.
To calculate the font size, set this as a CSS variable and divide the target width (100vw minus padding). Clamp to make sure it doesn't get too big or small.
font-size: clamp(35px, (100vw - 32px) / var(--text-width), 55px)
And tada! You have perfectly scaling text no matter the viewport size. 🎉

Déficit 2025 à 5,1 %, contre 5,4 % envisagé, meilleur que prévu. Dépenses publiques maîtrisées. Plus de sérieux, sans pour autant casser le modèle social et la croissance. Quand on tient une ligne simple — sérieux, stabilité, maîtrise — les comptes s’améliorent sans brutalité. Des résultats, pas des promesses ou de la communication politique inutile. La méthode paie. Mais la stabilité politique aussi. On continue — avec prudence — pour passer sous les 5 % en 2026. La situation géopolitique jouera, mais notre volonté collective aussi.

To ease pen plotter usage, a server allows remote control, Raspberry Pi + Home Assistant integration to plug it to voice announcements / phone notifications when plot ends.
