Another simultaneous sighting of Wolves (a total of six ind.) & European Bison this season in Białowieża Forest. This time a few days ago, previous one in November. Suprisingly, both right in the same place!

It's that time of the year that even when you search for something else (wolves) you bump into cool stuff by the way (Bison, 3-toed Woodpecker, Pygmy Owl). A beauty of early spring in NE Poland.

Just finished a super successful 6-days mammal & birds tour to Białowieża Forest & Biebrza Marshes. In a group of 5 guests led by @GormanGerard we have seen a lot of cool stuff. Mammals first - except from the highlights from the pics also had Red Squirrel, Pine Marten & Red Fox.

Great trip to bialoweiza forest with @wildlifeguidePL and @GormanGerard. Many lifers (woodpeckers galore) and top of the bucket list canis lupus❤️💚. What a place, what a trip😁.. highly recommend a guided trip! @RSPBLiverpool

Can anyone guess what breed Gertrude is? Clue is her breed is named after a mining town in Northumberland, North East England. Originally bred to hunt, this breed has since been used in numerous dog sports & is said to be a good swimmer too. Oh & she's not a lamb! #GuessTheBreed

Back out around Lancashire for a second go at American Wigeon (2nd from right in photo 1), Willow Tit (photos 2 & 3) and Great-Tailed Grackle. Success!! Particularly pleased with the photo of the Grackle - the mother of all record shots 😂 @birderjack

#bwfc...absolutely awful. No idea what they do in training...poor decisions, poor passing, sideways slow game, no fast transitions, no decent forward passes to the attackers...rank defending..... We seem unable to play to our strengths...shocking.
