@justalexoki I see it all the time too, people need to feel productive without actually being productive. You shouldn't be holding onto the treadmill at all.

@Talk_CLE_Sports @cavs @spidadmitchell You’re crying bc they congratulated DM’s personal achievement you absolute baby 🤣I didn’t say they’re above criticism. I’m disappointed too but it’s been a fun team to follow

@grimsleysbat @cavs @spidadmitchell If the roster is as bad you say, then Altman should be fired for spending as much money as he has with no results. There’s nothing wrong with criticizing professionals making millions when they don’t perform especially with the organization spends more than any other in the NBA

@casualclubguy It’s annoying and you’d hope that people would be more courteous. They’re not doing it to bother you, they’re just morons. Throw some AirPods in and have a day.

Driving range etiquette question ⛳️ If two strangers next to you spend an hour and a half loudly talking nonstop while you’re trying to practice… Do you:
A) not care at all
B) get mildly annoyed
C) want to launch your wedge into orbit

@CarderScot15979 @SpartacusNole56 Well, unless you look back the past few decades about cost compared to income etc. Yall are just bitter. I’m happy with what I have. Bought my house with 80k household income. Had a decent car. There’s no chance I could do the same thing today with the same salary. Not even close

Don’t know what child needs to hear this but if you can’t buy a $220k starter home and a $5-7k used car and maintain both that’s your problem not mine. Acquire some skills and a spine instead of crying on social fucking media.

@Talk_CLE_Sports @cavs @spidadmitchell If you were realistic about the roster before the season, you’d be happy with an ECF run. Sucks to burn out like this but I’ll have fun any year, any sport when my team makes it to the final four. I’d find a different hobby, man.

@grimsleysbat @cavs @spidadmitchell First 2 years of Don era were cool because you could say they were building. Last 2 have been complete failures from last season’s historic start followed by the embarrassing collapse and then this year’s team having the highest payroll and no ECF wins

@Talk_CLE_Sports @cavs @spidadmitchell The Knicks are better and the Cavs aren’t good enough 🤷‍♂️ If you didn’t have fun watching the DM led Cavs over the past few years, I feel bad for you. If the only way you can enjoy sports is by winning a championship, that really blows. I’m disappointed too but I’ve had fun.

@CarderScot15979 @SpartacusNole56 Jobs are often times tied to cities. Moving over an hour away really isn’t feasible for many when you’re supposed to drive a 5k car (2003 Toyota Corolla with 200k miles)

@grimsleysbat @SpartacusNole56 Then they have to move to a new area… our society has done that for 1000s of years and now that we have the most mobility we don’t want to move…

@SpartacusNole56 The only thing I’ve done to my home is maintain it. No major upgrades. I paid 150k in 2017. I was offered 380k for it late last year.

@SpartacusNole56 I live in a suburb of Cleveland in a 100 yr old home. I’m sorry you’re a bit obtuse. 5k beaters don’t exist anymore either. Groceries are 40% more expensive since 2020. It’s ok to acknowledge that you worked hard but young folks have it tougher today. It’ll be ok snowflake.

@mclayton1970 Some people aren’t retired. I know people that like to get in an early morning round and be at work by 1:00. It’s impossible with some jackass that wants to fart around and shoot 125 in front of you. I hope this post was sarcastic.

What you missed Preceeding generations worked harder than you, and knew how to live within their means, and save for a home The reason the percentagages drop, is that each successive generation has become worse at it Until you get gen Z, who have to spend $30 on lunch because they don't know how to cook their own food ....and are lazy as hell, going by the ones I've worked with - before they get canned
TheUnusualSuspect@beerandtokens

This misses the damn point. By 30, 48% of Boomers owned a home. 42% of Gen X owed a home by 30. And only 33% of millennials owned a home by 30. And Gen Z is on pace to be around 25%. The American Dream of homeownership is collapsing. Why is it so hard for people to admit that attaining life necessities are exponentially harder today than when they were 30yrs ago? And the most frustrating part is they know it is, they just won’t admit it. Bc it would take admitting that they had it easier, and that their voting habits have led to their grandchildren being dramatically worse off than they were.

@LiebermanAustin We paid $350 for 10u travel ball this year. It’s probably too much money but it’s uniforms, bags, helmets, tournament fees, league fees etc. It has been an absolute blast. The kids are having so much fun

As a parent of a 10 year old who LOVES baseball and plays travel ball I can promise you this is selective reporting. Yes there are certainly teams and parents who overdo it, but there are plenty of options that are affordable, fun, competitive and give your kids a great opportunity to learn different sports, team work, get outside, etc. We have 4 other kids and honestly we enjoy weekends at the fields. The siblings all get to run around and play together, we’ve grown close family friendships, etc. And what’s the alternative? Sitting inside playing video games? Wasting money on other stuff? Families aren’t forced to spend a ton of $$. If they have the means and they chose to, good for them.
Lenore Skenazy@FreeRangeKids

Sandlot it ain't. Youth sports now $40 B industry: "Teenagers on travel teams are rolling into weekend tournaments wearing a few thousand dollars of apparel, equipment & swag. Avg family spending on baseball increased nearly 70% between 2019 and 2024." wsj.com/business/retai…
