Until 1979 when Margaret Thatcher took over, Water, Energy, Rail and Mail were some of the cheapest and best run services in the entire world. Then suddenly she said we can't afford them because she wanted to privatise them and they began to fail. What a strange coincidence.

@PKirkbright @Imogenlemon02 So the companies that will apply for those licenses will be privately owned and any oil or gas produced will go on sale on the open market and sold to the highest bidder. It therefore won't bring prices down for us, because once again, we don't own it because of Thatcher.
