So they cancel the trams due to cracks in them, have they not seen the state of some of @nxwestmidlands bus fleets, patchwork with different colour panels, bodywork with dents and hanging off and filthy, could do with a wash too their buses saw this in Solihull the other day

So the trams are suspended, the trains are cancelled due to staffing isssues with covid and the buses don’t run as @nxwestmidlands don’t have drivers be a lovely commute into city. It’s a disgrace and embarrassing for the region. Especially with the commonwealth games coming up

@nxwestmidlands can you explain why one of your double deckers was reversing at a mini roundabout in billesley this morning? Number 2 bus nearly took out a couple of cars and didn’t have anyone out looking helping the driver reverse? Absolute joke your company are. Dangerous!!!!

@nxwestmidlands It was around 1045/1050, it was one of your dark grey buses and had 2 on it. It was the roundabout at the bottom of Haunch Lane/ChinnBrook Road. Shame I dont have dash cam otherwise I’d have sent it over. Not sure why was reversing but whatever.

Looks like @AvantiWestCoast @TheProgressTrn will be spending the evening in Wolverhampton. Currently working 1S72 1430 Euston-Glasgow, 1M20 2006 Glasgow-Crewe and then 2345 5G20 Crewe-Oxley, not sure why this doesn’t just run down in service to wolves and terminate here.

@AvantiWestCoast 390119 @TheProgressTrn racing north through Lichfield TV forming 1F19 1507 service to @NetworkRailLIV couldn’t film it so took shots. Workings - London (1749) then onto Preston (2030) then back empty to Liverpool Edge Hill depot this evening (0158).

Highlight of the day @WestMidRailway employee apologising for lack of trains due to no drivers. Man turns round and says “weird my mate is a driver and had just been made redundant” couldn’t run a bath let alone a train service

With @WestMidRailway poor performance and no staff not sure they’ll be getting their passengers back anytime soon, don’t run many trains now do they? Hopefully they go bust and lose franchise as well 😂 @nxwestmidlands is much better value and actually have staff to run services

@bsamikey @WestMidRailway It sure is, they don’t a **** about passengers no wonder they are struggling to get passengers back unlike the buses which are nearly back to pre Covid levels. Such a shame really, hopefully the passengers won’t go back at this rate and they’ll lose the franchise.

@WestMidRailway @bsamikey But NX have been hiring bus drivers? So why can’t they train train drivers? You’ve never had any staff ever since you’ve the franchise you’ve never had enough staff. Covid is unfortunate but it’s just an excuse, what about before covid?

@bsamikey Hi Mike, its not quite that simple, but covid restrictions meant the new recruits were unable to train.
