recently learned there's this group of people who are Really Mad at the idea that birds are dinosaurs.

If it takes $10/gallon gas to make USAmericans revolt, so be it. I’m greatly disturbed that it wasn’t the genocide, school bombing, school shootings, ICE raids, police murders, abortion bans, or pedophile presidents… but sure. I’ll take it.

Birds are dinosaurs. And not in the sense that they’re just distant relatives or descendants. What scientists mean is that dinosaurs never truly went extinct.
One group survived the mass extinction and continued evolving. Today, we call them birds. So every pigeon on the street, every chicken, every eagle you see…
is literally part of the dinosaur family tree. Dinosaurs didn’t disappear. They’re still here — flying above us every day. 🦖🐦
