I never use this account for my personal things, but this is where I will make an exception, because my friend deserved it. My dearest K., inseparable sidekick in many adventures, the best friend I have ever had, passed away yesterday. We adopted him nearly 14 years ago in Iceland, and then he moved with us across many countries. I have been with him nearly every day since then, wherever I was. He was a kind dog. Puppies in the park always followed and played with him. The cats in the neighborhood followed him. He never bit, or killed a thing. People thought he was wonderfully trained, but in reality that was mostly his doing. He loved balls, children, bikes, even more so if these things were combined together and he had this special thing with the sea where he would not swim in it, but bark at it. Even for hours, if possible. He loved and trusted us so much, and even though I do not believe in anything, I can't help but think that if he is somewhere right now, he is just waiting for us. Thank you my friend. More loyal friend, there never was.

@StillSalty624 I don't personally see anything scandalous in those tweets. He is just talking about possible outcomes with a dogecoin fork not advocating for any in particular. That being said, I still value your take on things!

You know what looks bad? It was stebbing himself who did propose Dogecoin-PoW to become "Dogecoin-Classic" and he also implied that it would basically DIE after a couple of month. Still wonder why i say those people are just telling BS?

To #Dogecoin node operators: if you want, if you do not like these tokens being crammed on top of the Dogecoin network, you can limit (for now) this activity on the network by increasing the harddustlimit in your node to 0.01 from the default 0.001 - since the output of most of these transactions is just touching the current hard dust transaction threshold. This will prevent your node from relaying those transactions. The hard dust limit can be used as a startup option as -harddustlimit=0.01 or inside dogecoin.conf as harddustlimit=0.01. @michael3420269 @mishaboar @elonmusk @Twitter I have seen lots of talk about ordinals/DRC-20 but have not seen any "product" of the spam transactions so I am of the mind that it could be literally anyone doing this.

More than 1,000,000 transactions over the past 24 hours on the #Dogecoin - with Dogecoin surpassing #BTC and #Litecoin transactions. This is caused by folks minting and buying "tokens" on the Dogecoin blockchain ("DRC20" tokens). Full frenzy mode is on, unfortunately.

@mishaboar @michael3420269 Looking at dogechain.info, we aren't usually seeing anything close to a full 1MB block, only 1 block spikes of 500kB-ish so I think the #Dogecoin blockchain is handling the spam load quite well actually!

@mishaboar @michael3420269 Theoretically, if all transactions were the minimum size then a block can handle ~4484 transactions. That translates to 6,456,960 transactions a day. A sustained mempool of >4500 transactions should gum up the works but only for people paying the minimum transaction fee.

@mishaboar @Ledger This is an incredible misstep by a company so adored by the community! Giving hackers an easy vector to gain access to someone's wallet (think LastPass...) is a huge no-no. Seed phrases should not be backed up digitally EVER. Thank you for pointing this is it to the community!

Hey #Dogecoin: @Ledger has added a feature in their latest firmware to allow remote backups of your seed phrase relying on KYC verification. Incredible mistake on their part which has users asking questions about their hardware and their commitment to decentralization.
