We are officially multi-millionaires. My two goals for this year were to pay off my student loan debt (done in February) and become a multi-millionaire. It didn't quite come the way I expected it. We made it to $1.9mil and then received an unexpected inheritance for $198k. Kinda feels undeserving as until now, my wife and I built our portfolio on our own through long hospital shifts and consistent investing with every dollar we had leftover. I turn 37 next month. We are well on our way to hit $3 mil by 40. I'd like to work less. I'd like to stop working nights. I'd like to pay down our mortgage. Not there yet...but I think we are on our way!

@MSharifpourMD Most of my attendings were gracious too, but I think the shift mechanics of having trainees who are half-asleep formulate plans on critically ill patients never made sense to me.

@gthipps I understand and agree. It used to be like that when we trained but it is now all shift work. We also don’t do the aggressive “pimping”. No one in my group is like that
