Most devs build games backwards. They polish the core loop for months, then panic-make a thumbnail at launch. The hierarchy that actually works: → Idea (solves: is this worth building?) → Core loop (solves: will they stay?) → Title (solves: what's the promise?) → Thumbnail (solves: do they click?) Bad thumbnail + good game = invisible Good thumbnail + bad game = reviewed into dirt Test the thumbnail before you build the game
