My seemingly healthy, strong father Daniel “Dad Timpf” Timpf died very unexpectedly on the evening of May 7 at just 69 years old.   It does not seem like enough to simply call him my father, because he was so much more than that. He was my rock, my hero and my best friend. He was loyal, funny, kind, selfless, hard-working, and so devoted to his children that it was impossible to be near him and not find yourself inspired. He was a writer, a painter, a sailor, and somehow knowledgeable on every subject from world history to literature to accounting. He was the most dependable person anyone has ever met. I always felt like, as long as I had his phone number, there was not a problem I could not solve. I needed him here with me; I am not okay, and I am far from the only person who feels this.   The birth of my son in February 2025, his first grandchild, was supposed to be a happy new beginning for our family. A family that had been already once devastated by an untimely loss: the loss of my mother Anne Marie to a rare disease in 2014 just a matter of weeks after her diagnosis.   The joy of my son’s birth was, of course, complicated by my also very unexpected breast cancer diagnosis just a matter of hours before going into labor with him. During this time, my dad did what he did best, which was to save the day. As soon as he heard about my diagnosis, he simply got into the car and started driving to New York -- making it through the tunnel just as my  son was born…on the day that happened to be his own birthday, as well.   In the tumultuous time of a simultaneous new cancer diagnosis and new baby, my dad was the sole reason for our stability, rushing in to help care for our son, and returning to do so again for my double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and any time that we ever needed him. It was an awful, awful year… but I found so much joy and hope throughout it by watching the beauty of a very special relationship form between my son and my father. This horrible thing that was happening was creating such a very special bond between the two of them -- almost making the terrible thing worth it -- and I was so excited to see how that bond would grow.   The bond was of top priority for my father, who visited from Michigan often. I saw him last on the Monday before he died, and my son was so proud to help his grandfather push his suitcase down to the car as he left. The goodbyes were quick. Why wouldn’t they be? We would all see each other again at the beginning of June, when we would all head to Texas for my shows and to see my grandpa. We wanted to make sure that my son could spend as much time as he could with his great-grandfather. He is, after all, 93.   I was certainly not over the trauma of my cancer or having to amputate the breasts I so badly wanted to feed my son with, but the one thing I could always count on to get me through my worst moments was seeing my son’s and my father’s faces light up when they saw each other, be it during the visits or our routine morning and bedtime FaceTime calls.   That is, at least, until I had to hear over the phone from a doctor I had never met in an emergency room in the same town up north that I’d previously announced to my father that I was pregnant that my dad was dead; I would never see him again, and neither would my son. It would turn out that last year was not the hard one, after all. Rather, it was the one I would now do anything to relive. I would amputate my breasts every year just to be able to speak with him one more time, even for five minutes.   I am currently living an unimaginable horror. For many people, this is a tragic story. For me, it’s my life. I do not know how I will recover from it. I only know that I have to for the sake of what is left of my family.

A skunk, a stuck cup, and one very brave officer after 3 a.m. That’s what police in Parker, Colorado encountered when they found a skunk wandering with a cup stuck on its head. After several careful attempts, the officer took a chance and removed it by hand. The skunk was freed, unharmed, and apparently chose not to retaliate. Police say it is also a reminder to keep litter off the streets and away from wildlife.

🚨URGENT alert: A day after the @GranbySchools superintendent and Democrat chair of the board of education were exposed for alleged fraud in CT… the superintendent is now accused of hiding a threat about a school shooting from parents. The threat was for yesterday – and many parents pulled their kids out of school after hearing about the threat and receiving ZERO communication from the school and ZERO response to voicemails. The school district didn’t send out any kind of alert or email – nor did they respond to countless parents who asked what was going on. We've independently confirmed this with numerous parents who kept their kids from going in yesterday and who say they are "terrified" that the school - which has previously been sued for protecting bullies - is now protecting a student who poses a school shooting threat. Here’s what we know about the threat – help us get it out there. Is the superintendent more concerned about covering up her own alleged contract fraud than keeping kids safe?? According to parents, the SRO went class to class explaining that they will be installing some kind of buttons in the classrooms that lock the doors and a magnetic locking system, etc. Shortly after, a sixth grade student apparently made some threats about a gun and shooting and told certain kids not to come to school Friday. The boy – who we’re not reporting the name of because of his age - was taken from class to the office and later the kids were all told it was just a rumor… however there was ZERO communication given to parents to address their concerns or the fears of the students. According to parents, the student in question identifies as Pan Sexual/Bi and says his preferred partner is a boy that is a trans girl. His best friend, who it’s not clear whether he directly played a role in this, “also identifies as like 20 different alphabet letters, has bright blue hair, wears fish nets on his arms and does his nails”. One concerned parent put it best: “My child has numerous classes with him and I kept my child home just in case. Many of my child’s friends stayed home today which is total bullshit that we have to worry about our kids and they have to miss school for these mentally ill people”. From the story, they were under DCF supervision and it appears they may have been homeless. Connecticut Democrats like Matt Ritter (@MattRitterCT) want to put this deadly DCF Agency in charge of homeschool students @EDSecMcMahon like they don't start investigations over crap like not catering to your brainwashed child deciding they are the opposite sex. This just happened recently; DCF was called because they blamed the Mother over some trans biological male "PASTOR" who gave her a chest binder after messing with the child's mind, and then that child also committed suicide. This News 12 story only mentions 2 of the recent DCF disasters. 1) 11-year-old Jacqueline “Mimi” Torres-García who was under DCF supervision, was abused and murdered. Her young body was left in a plastic bin to rot. They mention this one because Democrats want to blame homeschoolers instead of DCF failures. 2) A Waterbury man locked in seclusion and tortured by his stepmother, Kimberly Sullivan, for 20 years because 2 decades ago he was homeschooled Connecticut News 12 left out the deaths of the following children who are not convenient to the Democrats' narratives: 3) Baby Liam Rivera whose illegal alien father murdered him and buried him in a park after Connecticut Democrats let him out of prison early for breaking his arm and protected him under the TRUST Act @AAGDhillon (No Home school and an illegal, so it does not fit the agenda) 4) A 12 y/o pregnant child, Eve Rogers, found dead in her home. She was raped by her stepfather, Anthony Federline, who drove a bus for Enfield Public Schools and was vetted to do so. (Homeschooled but Democrats can't admit they hired a child rapist to drive your children to school.) 5) The case I mentioned above of DCF being called on the Muslim Mother after a Trans "CHURCH PASTOR" convinced the child that they were trans, would not call her daughter a boy. Salvara Saeed's daughter, Aileen Saeed, tragically died by suicide after that series of events involving a local TRANS pastor and the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) Put the Connecticut Department of Children and Families under federal supervision. IMMEDIATELY @SecKennedy I am going to need the MAHA Mommies of every ethnicity and religion to join on this request to put CT DCF back under federal oversight. Save the children because @CTDems and DCF definitely are not going to.
