First images from a newly renovated room in Sequoia Lodge that’s undergoing its major renovation. Guests will be able to enjoy those renovated rooms as of the first quarter of 2027!

UPDATE: Plaza Gardens Restaurant closed its doors in April 2026 for a full renovation, which will refresh the guest experience while preserving the restaurant's icon Victorian charm. Reopening early 2027. 🍽️ #DisneylandParis

@CafeFantasia Maybe it's also the American effect. I know the color was a big topic at the time, because it was much darker than the US version. And that was fine for Europe, because we used to know that kind of color scheme, antique places are everywhere here!

@gueudredesign Yeah, I'm not a fan of modernising Main Street. It doesn't have to look current or trendy. It doesn't have to look bright and clean. It simply has to look historic and authentic, nostalgic and reassuring.

@CafeFantasia I couldn't agree more. They missed the original direction of staying true to the Victorian era, and modernised it based on their own current perception. Which is quite sad when you know how much effort Sotto and his team put into capturing that sense of authenticity.

@gueudredesign Yeah. My biggest concern is that, in this shift away from all of the warm pink tones towards green, it's going to lose some of its warmth (just like the entrance area to Cable Car Bake Shop did, IMO).

@CafeFantasia I have mixed feelings about this renovation. It doesn't quite match the original intention of creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Hello Dolly and Angelina café, but the place certainly has to evolve to meet new expectations.

Among the changes coming to Plaza Gardens Restaurant are: 🪑 New layout (291 chairs and 40 banquettes) 🏠 Complete overhaul of the facades and roofing 🎨 Beautifully renovated interiors with vibrant colours 🟢 New pastel green tiling 🌼 New dark green carpet with floral motifs

En espérant que les références resteront les mêmes pour ce lieu, à savoir Harmonia Gardens (Hello, Dolly!) et Angelina Paris (Salon de thé à Paris). Ce qui n'est pas vraiment en adéquation avec leur section "de nouveaux camaïeux de vert".

@Themountainkin1 Oui mais le parc devait bien s'étendre, d'avantage même que ce qui a été fait au final. Une partie de la ZAC studios de Chessy était initialement dédiée a l'expansion du parc 2. En fait ils avaient pas trop le choix sur la position de la TOT sans claquer des fortunes en infra..

Donc il existe vraiment un monde où on aurait pu avoir la Tour de la Terreur comme toile de fond des Walt Disney Studios et non au centre de celui-ci 😵‍💫

It would be fascinating to know why the '92 version wasn't realized, the discussions, the challenges… The budget was cut (no surprises), and at the time, not a lot of people wanted to be associated with this project.

@Themountainkin1 Ah je dis pas que Main Street est raté, mais c'est Sotto lui-même qui disait qu'il préférerait qu'il y ait davantage d'activités à Main Street. Bref tout ça pour dire qu'Adventure way est un hub assez moyen plus qu'un land à mon sens. Celestial Park est les deux.

I disagree. Adventure Way is literally the contrary of a non-IP land. Except for the beautiful BGM and Art Nouveau architecture EVERYTHING is based on IP! No lore, no storyline, just popular IPs This is far from what we get in non-IP modern theme park lands like Celestial Park😬

I know World of Frozen is the headline grabber, but I think we need to appreciate more what you’ve been given with Adventure Way.
