There will rightly be time to celebrate rowing’s new discipline: beach sprint being included in the LA 2028 Games but for now I feel a pang to say goodbye to lightweight rowing and all that will entail

@martcrossy Fine she'll rowing has been opposed for years on grounds of access to expensive course facilities. I fear the intro of beach (requirements a beach and a boat) is actually a massive, possibly calculated, threat to competitive rowing as we know it.
