I really hope there can be a sensible discussion about whether football moves away from VAR
It’s been a number of years now, these aren’t teething troubles anymore, this is an addition to the game that currently takes more away than it gives, with no prospect of that changing.
Yes, there’ll be more things missed, but things like spontaneity & flow contribute hugely to what makes football so great - the trade off, arguably, hasn’t been worth it.
We still get human error, and always will - it just takes a lot longer with VAR

All forced through injuries, and then reverts to his usual back there once they're fit again, rather than experimenting at all with an obvious issue. Laughed.

Everton's different central defensive partnerships in the Premier League since the beginning of the 2024-25 season.
Obviously a very small sample size for some of the partnerships, with the majority of the matches being either Tarkowski & Keane or Tarkowski and Branthwaite.

I have a new penalty rule.
If a commentator calls the attacker 'clever' for winning a penalty it's instantly overturned to no-penalty.

Seeing links to Franculino (6”0), Ayase Ueda (5”11) and Santiago Castro (5”10) to #EFC.
Would be interesting to see if we are moving away from the “target striker” mould & going for a fluid attack given our wingers favour cutting in which seems to be a trend in top sides
