Japanese bros keep posting about sausage gravy so here’s the easiest classic recipe. It’s only 4 ingredients: - country sausage - flour - milk - pepper Brown the sausage, don’t drain. Pour flower over sausage and stir until grease is absorbed. Pour milk over sausage. Season with black pepper. Cook for a couple minutes and add more milk until desired thickness. Easy day.

@gumper23 @deeterking2133 @DonutOperator Its not that sensitive. Which sala ingredient are you tweaking that makes that much of a difference? Chile peppers i could believe depending on the pepper, tomatoes not so much.

@SirReggieNoble It's been amazing. Two people have called me a "f@g". One person has accused me of being a liberal. All because as a novice cook I asked for measurements. Several have given me good tips, though. The target audience has likely never tried biscuits and sausage gravy before.

Beginning cook, just go with gut. You'll mess up, sure. But soon something *clicks* and you will naturally understand flour=thicker and liquid= thinner. Cool tips to know: Too salty? Add a bit of sugar. Too thin? Look up cornstarch (I've saved many stews this way), too much seasoning all together? Soak it up with a piece of bread. Always set timer lower than suggested because you can always cook more, but can never cook less. This helps you learn your own stovetop/oven in your altitude. Read cookbooks for fun, and you'll see patterns. Guaranteed to make you a better cook. Ultimately, trust yourself and embrace trial-through-error. Happy cooking!

@gumper23 @DonutOperator If you need measurements for this, you will never be a good cook. As there are none. Cook the sausage longer or more fatty sausage more flour. Milk is to your individual preference.

@Empisiiii @DonutOperator I think you meant "cooking", but yeah - I get your point. The first time I try something, I follow the recipe exactly to see what it should taste like.

@deeterking2133 @DonutOperator I've been tweaking a recipe for salsa for years now. Even the slightest variant of 1/2 tsp can make a huge difference in the outcome.
