Een interessant debat. Voor wat betreft de woorden van mevrouw Bikker, @mirjambikker over kinkhoest, kan ik als huisarts zeggen dat wat zij zegt niet klopt. Er overlijden helaas elk jaar babies aan kinkhoest. En ook gevaccineerde mensen kunnen kinkhoest krijgen. Van de vier recent overleden babies is bij mijn weten niet bekend of zij waren gevaccineerd tegen kinkhoest. Ik vind het kwalijk, dat de indruk wordt gewekt, zeker door iemand van de Christenunie (met gemoedsbezwaarden in de achterban), dat een vaccinatie een garantie geeft om de betreffende ziekte niet meer te krijgen. Wat me tegen de borst stuit, is dat er sinds Corona door politici als Hugo de Jonge 'een schuldvraag in de spreekkamer/geneeskunde' is gebracht. Het is nooit iemands schuld als een ander ziek wordt. En nu kregen kinderen opeens de schuld als oma ziek werd. Of kregen mRNA-ongevaccineerde mensen de schuld dat de niet opgeschaalde IC's overbelast waren. Het leven is niet maakbaar, dat weet ik als arts maar al te goed. Wat me verder negatief treft is de hatelijke sfeer in de Tweede Kamer. Dat vind ik oprecht jammer bij zo'n belangrijk onderwerp als vaccinatiegraad. Tenslotte kan ik de dalende vaccinatiegraad niet los zien van de desinformatie die er eerder is verspreid over de kort geteste mRNA vaccins. Ik denk dat die desinformatie, en ook de drang en dwang van overheidswege, eerst goed besproken en aan het licht moet komen, voordat je over herstel van vertrouwen (in vaccins) kunt praten.

Het is cruciaal om te erkennen dat de grote zorgen over de vaccins niet uit de lucht gegrepen zijn, maar worden onderbouwd door tal van wetenschappelijke onderzoeken. @GideonvMeijeren komt in aanvaring met de rest van de Kamer over de dalende vaccinatiegraad. #FVD
