Tamil Nadu Weatherman
A comparison of winds today from the east due to the UAC and next week from the west. Enjoy this cool weather for the next 2–3 days. The pattern changes next week as the monsoon winds (Bay of Bengal branch) have started blowing towards the Andaman Sea. Pondy, Cuddalore, Villupuram coasts and Delta belts have received good rains today. For KTCC, it remains a close hit-or-miss for rains. Maybe Chengalpattu district coasts are more favourable to receive some rains. However, Chennai rain chances at some places are possible till Monday as the UAC dies down close to Chennai-Nellore coast around Monday. Tomorrow too, Pondy, Cuddalore, Villupuram coasts and Delta regions have chances of rains from the UAC, after which the UAC is expected to fade away close to the Chennai coast. So till Sunday, and if lucky even on Monday, we will have pleasant weather thanks to the UAC staying nearby. Once the UAC fades near the Chennai coast, the westerly winds will return. Meanwhile, other parts of Tamil Nadu are expected to get good rains, and Kerala, Karnataka and Bengaluru all have very good chances of rains in the coming days and next week.

@labstamil @jusmypov I completely agree sir. Yesterday he went to IUML party office and said he will be with them. I guess IUML will be with Vijay and they won’t go back to DMK. Vijay scored it silently . 😁

This is great news for Tamilnadu. If Vijay is smart, he will prefer AIADMK's support to his government over the commies/VCK who would constantly hold him hostage every single chance they get. We are an industrialized state, we don't want another Samsung protest on our hands.
ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Chennai | AIADMK leader CV Shanmugam says, "We accept the people's mandate. The people's mandate is not for TVK. The mandate is for Chief Minister Vijay. The mandate is for Vijay to become the Chief Minister. We congratulate Chief Minister Vijay and we extend our support to the TVK government headed by the Chief Minister"

@indhavaainko Hi Sir. What if he provides good governance. A change is required. Happy that both Dravidian politics are out of power. I hope he provides good governance. Let’s wait.

It’s both a happy and a sad day for me politically. Happy, because for the first time in decades, both the Dravidian giants are out of power. Many of us long believed Tamil Nadu needed a political reset beyond the DMK vs ADMK cycle. That monopoly over Tamil Nadu politics has finally been broken. But it’s also a deeply disappointing day. Because instead of a truly capable and deserving leader emerging through that vacuum, Tamil Nadu has ended up handing power to someone like Joseph Vijay, a man whose political rise has been built more on celebrity aura, emotional hype, fan-following and social media momentum than administrative experience, ideological clarity, or proven governance capability. Running a successful film career and running a complex state like Tamil Nadu are not the same thing. In the AI era, perception can be manufactured overnight. Emotional waves can become political movements in months. But governance is not a movie climax. Governance demands clarity, consistency, policy depth, administrative understanding, crisis management ability and the courage to take difficult decisions. That is where someone like @annamalai_k stood apart. Agree or disagree with his politics, Annamalai brought: - administrative experience as a former IPS officer - grassroots political work - ideological conviction - communication clarity - governance-oriented thinking - willingness to directly engage with corruption and systemic issues He may not have had the massive fan clubs or cinematic charisma of Vijay, but he represented something Tamil Nadu politics desperately needs - merit, discipline, accountability and long-term leadership building. Unfortunately, politics today often rewards visibility more than capability. The saddest part is not merely that Vijay became CM. The saddest part is that Tamil Nadu had an opportunity to move toward a more governance-centric political culture, and instead may once again drift into celebrity-centric politics, just with a new face replacing the old order. My wait for REAL POLITICAL CHANGE continues…

As crazy as it may sound, what if the Modi–Amit Shah duo used Joseph Vijay as a stone to kill two birds (the Dravidian parties) at the same time? You may think I am crazy, and you may hurl abuses through quotes and comments, but I don’t care. I am just sharing my perspective with reasoning. Please analyze every question of mine logically and with an analytical bent of mind! Did you notice that, after Vijay went to Delhi for the CBI interrogation, he was more confident than ever? Did you notice the whistle symbol being given to Vijay, which every layman can relate to? Did you know Vijay’s poll candidates were from diverse backgrounds representing all walks of society, and even until February 2026, his 234-candidate list was not finalized? How did everything happen after his visit to Delhi? Did you notice that all party movements, like candidate selection based on social engineering, happened silently? Who else is more experienced in social engineering than the BJP? Did you notice that Vijay never targeted the BJP in 2026? Did you know that leading IT companies in Chennai held town halls and decided, as organizations, to vote for Vijay? Did these companies receive instructions from Delhi? Did you know Vijay never stepped into Hindu temples before, even during campaigns? It happened only right before the election results. Can it be seen as a collaboration between Vijay and the BJP? Did you know ADMK and many second-rung BJP leaders wanted an alliance with Vijay, but PM Modi and Amit Shah were particular that Vijay contest alone? Why? Do you know market expansion strategy? If you don’t have the time, resources, and credible manpower, you outsource the task. Could Vijay be Delhi’s face in TN? @TVKVijayHQ You may ask me, “but how did Vijay accept Congress’s support”? Didn’t he break the Congress–DMK alliance that PM Modi has long wanted to disrupt? Ask yourself, why should Vijay empower EPS and his declining ADMK, which came third in this election? If Vijay accepts support from one of the ADMK factions, it will further weaken ADMK and the faction will merge with TVK. ADMK will be demolish for good. If DMK and ADMK join hands to take on TVK, as rumoured, Vijay may join hands with the BJP to take on both Dravidian parties, and it will be a fight to the finish. Now ask this question to yourself - Didn’t Vijay weaken both the DMK and ADMK? TN is heavily influenced by Dravidianism. The only weapon against it is cinema popularity. Check out this speech from Vijay. He sounds so confident even before polling that he is going to sweep the polls. Why was he so confident? Whose backing did he have? What if the Modi–Amit Shah duo used someone with immense cinema popularity, @actorvijay as a stone to kill both Dravidian parties at the same time? Only a diamond can cut another diamond! Some battles are won differently — NEVER EVER underestimate PM Modi and HM Amit Shah! @narendramodi @AmitShah

Nice narrative, only problem with such theories is that they are always cooked up after an unexpected event happens, never before. An unexpected victory, perhaps even for Vijay, has happened, so people are trying to make sense of it by piecing together believable stuff and selling it off as intellectual analysis. If Kamal had won 2021, they'd have said the same thing, citing Kamal's own past video of doing proselytization for money. But Kamal did not win, so the writeup had to wait. This is basically a glorified version of "13 families that control the world" theory. Sadly, அறிவார்ந்த non-left சமூகம் will lap it up as truth.

Decoding Joseph Vijay's win & Rise to power !! The church needed a new political front because the DMK-VCK model had become too aggressive and counterproductive. Open attacks on Sanatana Dharma, temple festivals, and visible missionary alignment began awakening even rural Hindus in Tamil Nadu to the dangers of organized conversions. Resistance started growing, including anti-conversion narratives in films, podcasts, and grassroots discussions. Missionaries traditionally operate subtly — through institutions, influence, and narrative control — not through open confrontation. Conversions are systematic, well-funded operations, and the church cannot afford rising Hindu resistance disrupting that ecosystem. Hence, Joseph Vijay emerged as the softer, more acceptable face. Unlike DMK and VCK leaders, Vijay avoids openly abusing Hinduism. He projects tolerance, visits temples, greets Hindus on festivals, and carefully curates his public image. This lowers Hindu suspicion while ideologically remaining aligned with Dravidian politics — opposing NEET, Hindi, and Hindutva, while appealing strongly to minorities. Christians do not shift voting patterns collectively without church direction, and support for TVK became evident when Vijay shared platforms with missionaries from multiple denominations during events like the 2025 Equality Christmas meeting. TVK’s promises and freebies are unrealistic, and eventual failures would likely be blamed on the Centre and Modi, further fueling separatist narratives while missionary activities continue expanding under reduced scrutiny. Temple visits or belief in astrology do not make Vijay Hindu. Many Christians retain such cultural practices. Vijay himself publicly identified as a “devout Christian,” and his father’s earlier remarks mocking temple offerings revealed the mindset clearly. The excitement over a few Tamil Brahmin TVK MLAs is also misplaced. Their presence neither advances Hindu interests nor changes TVK’s ideological alignment. Historically, Brahmins played advisory and knowledge-based roles in society, not representative ones. Their inclusion today serves electoral optics, not Hindu welfare. Also Vijay is just a front face as CM - The people behind them are Loterry Martin group, Chruch and Deep State Credit goes to FB Fame Kalavai Venkat facebook.com/share/p/1HVmZp…

Ilaya Dalapathy taking over from Dalapathy. If Vijay becomes CM with support from Congress, and other DMK allies, my analysis is right. EPS is now free to do what he wants, I wouldn't be surprised if he supported Vijay. Either way, this is not good for Tamil Nadu. I am sorry.

I always dreamed of Shri Annamalai ji leading as Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. He is a great Visionary, Orator & Can do Wonders for our State. If TVK Vijay executes well, having Annamalai by his side will help the State. I feel Annamalai ji is in the Wrong Party in his State. He can serve the People Better if he is with the TVK ✌️ #FI

💡TVK looks to have done "something" is what I have gathered speaking to a few of my most trusted DMK sources. That's a MIGHTY +ve for TVK. Don't want to get ur hopes up. Better to maintain expectations, as TVK may still NOT be in pole position and may have played a spoiler.

It's so easy to say that this caste group moved from Party X to Party Y without giving any evidence/rationale whatsoever. If you wanna make predictions, at least base it with data and numbers, or carry out an extensive exit poll analysis and reveal on Apr 29th. Not hearsays!🤮

So, TVK may have helped the NDA in Central Tamilnadu. So, In summary, we see strong anti-incumbency, NDA consolidation and not a very strong TVK wave. *This is just my analysis. Let us see how May 4th transpires!
