Mark Carney is about to get hammered left and right by populism: Full Comment podcast nationalpost.com/opinion/mark-c…

English

@Pickerelpete01 Pathetic Convoy Conservatives are full of hate, negativity and lies. The feed off each other like flies to shit.
English

Wow there's a lot of dumb people who believed this post.
There is no valid proof of boos or cheers.
Carney on folks. 😂🤣
🇨🇦 Dawg 🇨🇦@Pickerelpete01
Prime Minister Mark Carney had cheers so loud " Carney, Carney!" you couldn't even hear the announcers speak!! Amazing!! The true patriotic love for the Prime Minister of Canada!!
English

Every one of them is a traitor and a coward. If you don’t care about the values of the people who elected you, leave and good riddance, we don’t need you.
It’s our gain.
John Brennan@jmbprime
How many Conservative MP's have to cross the floor to the Liberals before Pierre Poilievre steps down as leader of the party. We should know within the next two weeks.
English

@1_canadian_girl 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Poor Convoy Conservatives getting tired of loosing.
English

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says he’s written to the PM calling on cooperation to end Canada’s hunger crisis, pointing out that food inflation is rising at 7.2 per cent, much higher than the U.S. He blamed taxes and Canada’s weak dollar for causing the crisis #cdnpoli
English

@chrisdacey @MarkJCarney That’s a serious accusation. If you’re confident in it, please provide a credible source. Without evidence, this is just misinformation being circulated as fact.
English

@BertaProudDad Calling it “betrayal” doesn’t make it so. MPs are not bound to a party for life, and switching parties is a legal and recognized part of parliamentary democracy. Emotional language doesn’t replace constitutional reality.
English

Meet Matt Jeneroux.
People call Alberta independence supporters TRAITORS every day.
This is what REAL betrayal looks like.
He told Pierre Poilievre he was stepping away for FAMILY reasons.
Now he’s switching to the LIBERALS hoping Mark Carney gets closer to a MAJORITY.
What about his CONSTITUENTS?
What about the voters who wanted CONSERVATIVE representation?
THIS is how trust in politics gets destroyed.

@mferreriptbokaw If the intention is to critique, accuracy is essential. Kindly provide the specific sources for each quotation; otherwise, this appears to be a compilation of misattributions.
English

Remember when Mark Carney said Canadians don’t use steel?
Or when he said to judge him by grocery prices?
Or when he said he doesn’t even do his own grocery shopping?
Or when he said he would get us the best deal with the US?
Or when he said he was the best negotiator?
Or when he told young people they just have to make sacrifices?
That guy is really delivering!
English

@BoswellDoug What part of the MP’s explanation do you disagree with? It might help to look at their reasons before assuming bad faith.4
English

@BoswellDoug If every MP who disagreed with their party had to resign, we’d lose the independence that Parliament is built on. MPs aren’t bound to a party forever—they’re allowed to act according to their judgment, and voters can hold them accountable at the next election.3
English

Matt Jeneroux is an MP for Edmonton Riverbend . MPs do not dictate to their constituents by crossing the floor to join another party because they were voted in by a majority of voters and represent the electorate. If you decide to leave the party that you are representing, anyone with integrity would resign their their seat and run in a by-election. Matt Jeneroux is afraid to take his chances to run in a by-election. Voters will remember. Your time as a Liberal will be short-lived.

English

@BullzOverBearz @JinglaiHe Floor‑crossing isn’t a financial crime. It’s a political decision that MPs are legally allowed to make. Audits are for evidence‑based concerns, not for punishing someone for switching parties.
English

@JinglaiHe All of these MPs who cross the floor should have their financials audited.
English

@rahberah1985 @JinglaiHe MPs represent their constituents, not a political party. Floor‑crossing is part of our parliamentary system, and voters will ultimately judge the decision in the next election.
English

It is in fact a betrayal. This is the third MP doing that. How can they live with themselves? How can voters trust any candidates anymore? Is this the new strategy of liberal party to infiltrate the conservatives? What do they offer them? This is a new low for Canadian politics. Is there any sene of loyalty and integrity left in these so-called representatives?
English

@wealthmoose @JinglaiHe In Canada, MPs are elected as individuals. They’re allowed to act according to their judgment, even if that means switching parties. People can disagree with the choice, but calling it “betrayal” ignores how our system actually works.
English

@JinglaiHe 🚨 Floor crossing should be banned.
Voters choose parties and platforms at the ballot box — not backroom switches after elections.
And if trust is broken, leadership should face voters again.
Canadians deserve accountability. 🇨🇦
#Cdnpoli #Canada #Accountability

English

@JinglaiHe Parties celebrate floor‑crossers when they’re gaining one and condemn them when they’re losing one. It’s just politics. The real question is why the MP felt the need to leave.
