Emulsifiers in processed foods have been poisoning people for decades. It's now so bad that even the WSJ is writing about it. Emulsifiers increase the risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, and some cancers. They change the gut microbiome in ways that cause inflammation. Carboxymethylcellulose reduces bacterial diversity and increases "bad" bacteria. Bacteria bred on these additives invade the inner mucus layer of the gut, leading to inflammation throughout the body and increasing the risk of IBD. Scientists are investigating low-emulsifier diets as a potential treatment for Crohn's disease. "... carrageenan impairs glucose tolerance, increases insulin resistance and inhibits insulin signalling in vivo in mouse liver and human HepG2 cells. These effects may result from carrageenan-induced inflammation. The results demonstrate extra-colonic manifestations of ingested carrageenan and suggest that carrageenan in the human diet may contribute to the development of diabetes."

When we lose synthetic fertilizer, expect 19-25% lower yield, 10-30% higher production costs and 20-100% higher retail price. On the other hand, it will be mostly organic food what you get in the long run.

Great question 👍🏽 Simple answer: They fixed the noise from the inside. Apple spends a fortune hiding the filters inside the white brick itself. They use better insulated wires and high quality shielding so the cable stays slim and clean. Basically, they paid more for the engineering so you don’t have to carry a lumpy cable. It’s a better design, but at a Premium price.

Back in 2011, I went into computer hardware repairs. I started with laptop chargers. I remember peeling back the rubber, soldering wires, and always staring at that weird plastic bulge on the cable. It didn't look like it did anything, but it was on every single high-end charger I fixed. I used to wonder if it was a hidden battery or just a weight to keep the cord from tangling. It turns out, that little lump is the unsung hero of your workspace. It's called a Ferrite Bead, and its only job is to act as a silencer for your electricity. See, every electronic device is naturally noisy. They send out invisible electromagnetic signals. Without that cylinder, your charger cable would turn into a giant antenna, broadcasting interference that would make your Wi-Fi slow, your TV flicker, or your speakers buzz. Inside that plastic shell is just a chunk of magnetic iron. It catches all that electrical noise and kills it before it can escape the wire. It’s basically a muzzle for your cable so your gadgets can live in peace. INALEGWU.

For a country to survive, there has to be a common culture. Nobody dies to defend a “multicultural economic zone”! American culture, with its English-Scotts-Irish origin, is great and worth fighting for. Some may not realize it, but that’s why people come here. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Important segment starting at 25 : 39 in Tucker’s video on who is a “Heritage American”, a now necessary term. A young Anthony Scalia, future Supreme Court justice, upholding Anglo-American law, consciously bristled at his ethnic and religious distinction from the WASPs whom foreign professors assigned a foundational status. But then he went to England and saw it and felt it;

My friend drinks an 11 oz OJ every morning because vitamin C. He was stunned when I told him that it has a similar amount of sugar as an 11 oz soda (23g vs 36g). “But the OJ is natural sugar”, he says. But metabolically, both drinks behave the same once you drink them. The body sees both as simple sugars and the consequences are similar. And that No Pulp means the only part of the orange that slows sugar absorption has been taken out. Your blood sugar levels have no brakes. You may as well drink a soda and take a vitamin C tablet, or better yet, just eat an orange.

Just spent a few days in Germany, and it’s easily the least welcoming country ever. People constantly stare at you with weird faces, strangers on trains will deliberately block the seats next to them. The overall vibe is hostile. Regretting every penny spent here.

I’ve been experimenting with fiber. I’ve been trying to hit the RDA for fiber which for me is ~38 g/day, mostly from foods like sprouted oats, raw fruit, potatoes, and cooked vegetables. Here’s what I’ve noticed: • Fiber helps with satiety • Fiber increases stool volume • Increased stool volume seems to increase colonic distension • I often notice low-grade irritability & subdued energy when stool volume is high • A good, complete bowel movement often improves mood & energy immediately I don’t experience much gas or bloating, which makes me think this is primarily about mechanical load & stretch in the colon. My current theory is that in some people, increased stool volume leads to colonic distension, which increases vagal afferent signaling and suppresses energy & mood until clearance occurs. This doesn’t mean fiber is universally bad. It does mean that dose, form, and context matter more than people usually acknowledge. Personally, I feel much better on a low or zero fiber diet.

Salt your milk. If you drink a ton of milk like I do, you can end up sodium deficient. Milk has a ton of potassium and calcium but little sodium. Calcium and potassium are excitatory. Sodium is kind of a stabilizer, dampening the effects. Tons of potassium and calcium with little sodium can put you into a state that feels like anxiety. I experienced this today and fixed it by supplementing sodium. 1 gram of sodium was enough to chill me out. I think I'll start supplementing 1g 3x / day. Important for people who drink lots of milk and eat lots of fruit - not eating regular meals that you would naturally put salt on.

since my high iron blood test 2 weeks ago i finally stopped eating red meat for the first time in almost 4 years. not for good, just to see what would happen. literally everything resolved - no longer tired/need naps - intense focus - BM quality significantly improved - food intolerances like gluten went away - can tolerate oats and beans again - can tolerate supplements again red meat every day just does not work for me. i dont give 2 fcks what carnivore zealots have to say. i've tried it all. i've tried red meat only, i've tried red meat and fruit, i've tried red meat and fiber, i've tried red meat and rice. none of it works when i do it several times a week. so instead of being dumb and listening to idiots on the internet, i'm just going to go to a bit more balanced of an approach. single ingredient foods still (obviously), avoiding nightshades, avoiding sugar (and limiting to 1 fruit serving/day), eating some fiber, eating some veggies, eating chicken, having a piece of bread, eating an egg here and there, not being afraid of small amounts of dairy, and taking some key supplements like selenium, zinc, and electrolytes the whole point of doing daily tracking, monitoring how you're feeling, running blood tests, is to ultimately feel good. so when you find out what makes YOU feel good, just do it. don't wait for approval from people on the internet who try to sell you products or sell you their course, just do you. that's the best health advice i can give
