Many years of this….A typical field stop in canola to assess crop stage, weeds, and flea beetle feeding damage.

Today we officially broke ground on our new office in Martensville. After purchasing the land this spring, we’re excited to be building a space that our staff can call home & where we can welcome clients for meetings, workshops, and events. Stay tuned as the project takes shape!

Photo check up on corn growing on high N supply power soil (189 lbs N supply power detected by PRS probes). 0 N optimization and 0 applied N. See how it yields this fall. @Western_Ag @westernagNWSK @guykeeler

Same quarter split into two 80 acre fields farmed independently until combined this year. Pic 1 area is rich in nutrient supply only requires 60-20-0-0 for 90 bu wheat. Pic 2 tanked nutrient supply requires 115-45-33-11 for 90 bu wheat. Mistakenly applies 60-20-0-0.

WesternAg optimizations aren’t just about N. Very high yield potential canola here. These fields had high P supply (therefore not deficient) but very deficient on S. Optimized/applied rates on the pics.

Optimizing yield and allocation of fertilizer on this wheat 🌾 field in 2024. Some unknown histories but N supply differences resulted in 50 lbs N applied on EH and 130 lbs N on SW qtr. Fall 2024 samples were brought into alignment between the 2 parts.

Sometimes you come across fields with high N supply: 189 lbs N supply. Due diligence checks are done. Keep eyes on these fields and prepared to add N in season if something seems off. Tissue tests on this corn 🌽 show sufficient N after 0 N application. See how it yields.

Very early in my career it was this story that made it real that the PRS probes were seeing soil nutrient supplies in a way that respected reality. If the soil has high N supply power; any additional N shouldn't have greater yield. 0 N vs client plan 70 lbs N: identical yield

I'm grateful for the work and influence of Dr Jeff Schoenau, @WAGkengreer, Dr Ryan Hangs, Dr Tom King, @guykeeler, @Edgar_Hammer and many others on my career so far delivering this made in SK solution for farmer's soil fertility needs that stems from Dr Stan Barber @Western_Ag

The last several years have been off and on drought. Coming off one or multiple years of high N applied and low N removal is the background that leads to elevated N. This oat field is the only zero N rec for 2025. No N applied here.

@Western_Ag optimized N rate only 100 lbs to take advantage of the somewhat elevated N from the soil. N was applied as recommended here.

@guykeeler @bscomet22 No I don’t think we have. My wife says it better than I do. My youngest son Brady works his butt off to the point of obsession but it paid off as I posted a few weeks back.
