I was asked in an interview about talks or public presentations I've given. Thought it might be useful to publish them here. Most of them are in Spanish, but here goes anyway: 1. Modern Data Stack @thedatapub An attempt to demistify the word "modern" by going through the cycles technology has had for analytics

@_chenglou I was part of that team. Basically ChatGPT one year before it came out. Called LMChat and then another codename. Google was too nervous to release it and DeepMind was blocked from shipping products that could disrupt Google. I think about this a lot.

I sometime think about that Jeff Dean interview where he said they had an internal bot before ChatGPT but didn't think it was better than just googling

the "wunderkind" with the full head of hair will always lose out to the cutthroat unc who norwooded at 30 when the chips are down. losing 50 billion pales to losing the thing that matters the most in this world: your hair. fear the norwooding man, for he has nothing left to lose

There was a documentary on Susan Polgar’s memory arguing that chess masters remember entire boards by grouping the positions. This feels very much in line with that, so, if LLMs are like us in this, I’m betting it’ll succeed.
Taelin@VictorTaelin

every memory solution I tried sucks, so I rolled my own it is a plug and play prompt that gives any agent infinite memory db is an append-only log. compression on the spot (nap, don't sleep). nothing is ever deleted, memory context is constant-sized, details fade with age

@_EnriqueNieto Sí, siendo honesto yo lo uso en mi sitio, pero la queja de no tener todos los modelos en 5 no fluía bien si metía eso

I want haiku 5. I don’t need, I won’t use it, but feels like something is incomplete if we don’t have it.

I have no evidence, but I think everyone names skills the wrong way. They shouldn’t be topics (brand guidelines) or personas (project manager). They should be tripwires. “Before you start a project” “When you want to apologize” “After you fail” What’s the last thing your agent thinks before it screws up? That’s your skill name. Then you can provide directions to course-correct.
