@ajay43 I'm a sudra vegan and I choose it because it's kinder to animals and better for the environment. Author assumes sudra-dalit peoples are incapable of moral agency. Or intellectual ability. That is deeply casteist.

@IndianTechGuide 6-7 percent is quite okay. We (and the govt) can't risk high inflation at this point.

🚨 RBI is estimating the Indian economy to grow at 6.75% in FY26. 6-7% growth is not good for the potential we have. Bureaucrats in India are not taking risks. Opinion on the stagnated growth?

You can actually check countries with better social security (eg. Europe) and see the taxes. Or move to tax havens and check the social security (eg. Dubai). See if you get a better deal.

The govt. can just as well cut down growth with high interest rates. The low inflation will benefit the poor. But the govt. wants the market (and you) to grow. And the poor are, in a way, funding it.

This is the biggest myth among the white collar class. That they don't use any govt services. Calm down. Your income, your company's revenue, is an function of the growing economy that this country offers. The market. That's the biggest govt facility.

@RenukaJain6 The armed forces, police, courts, sanitation workers, road construction workers etc are all paid by taxes. You think your friend will ever need these services? Does he use roads?

A dear friend paying taxes on his salary for last ten years lost his job in layoffs by company My simple question to government. Neither does he fall in group of freebies ( which he funded for government to get votes). Neither he falls in government job which is more or less guaranteed nor for big farmers enjoying many subsidies and MSP Doesn’t he deserve some social security for few months till he gets a new job? What did he get back for taxes paid for his personal life? Time to incorporate social security for salaried class the most honest tax payers @nsitharamanoffc @narendramodi

The Ruby team releases a new version of Ruby every Christmas, so I went to check what's new. Was pleasantly surprised of course: `it` So instead of `list.each { |item| fix(item) }` we can write: `list.each { fix(it) }` Nice. Merry Christmas 🎄😃

Dangerous driving behavior can be spotted and warnings issued to vehicles in the vicinity. Possible using today's tech. May not prevent split second situations like this one, but will sure help flag errant drivers.

The most aweful road tradegy I've heard of. A whole family gets crushed beneath a truck, for no fault of their own. Fixing driving culture is definitely the need of the hour. Tech can also help ...

@h6165 There's a good master's thesis from the 1970s (that's available on the Internet Archive) that looks at the evolution of the Dravidian movement. I should look it up and share.

@ThisIsRaviraj I once tried feeding my car's manual (pdf) to Gemini. Answers were okay but not great. Could be improved with focused RAGs I suppose

Custom GPT idea: Train any vehicle's user manual and make it the vehicle expert, to ask anything about the vehicle anytime. It's more relevant in older vehicles. It can probably be a sole product if it completes a whole category. Eg. AI that gets all household appliances.🤔

@whiletruelearn Possible but only if we're allowed reduce the utility of that number. Increase credit, keep interest rates low, let inflation soar. Its nominal GDP here anyway. And also, invest in useless real-estate like China.

I am not sure how realistic average growth rate of 12.5 would be. But if we have to make good use of the demographic dividend, then India needs to grow at a higher rate than current levels. That is for certain.

Future GDP=Current GDP×(1+(growth rate / 100)) ^ number of years. To reach more than 50 Trillion with our current GDP of 3.5 trillion, we need to have a growth rate averaging over 12.5% for the next decade. At curr avg growth rates of 8%, it will take 35 years to cross 50T.
Shruti Rajagopalan@srajagopalan

To all students of economics: Step 1: stop smoking whatever you are smoking. Step 2: calculate the real annual growth rate required to go from about 3.5 trillion to 55 trillion in 23 years. Step 3: if you think that is realistic, whatever you were smoking is very high quality.

One interesting angle with the whole issue. Most athletes who faced scrutiny in recent history are non-western. #21st_century" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_verif… Gender verification is unreliable as it is, and the general expectation is for the athlete to *look* feminine too.
