Traits do cross over and it is possible to have both, but BPD has never really fit me. The fundamental aetiology is different and therefore ‘treatment’ and expected outcomes are different. MBT is trying to teach me to do something that I just can’t do.

It isn’t just an annoying label, it is affecting my treatment. I am about 6 months into MBT therapy, with maybe another 12 months to go. It feels very much like #autism conversion therapy, teaching me how to not be autistic.
