Here, Trump’s Vice President is essentially saying: Even though I disagree with the President’s decision, I have to work with the team… @JDVance is trying to keep his Presidential ambitions UNTARNISHED by Trump’s decisions.

So I'm one of the authors of 500'000 books whose work was used illegally by Anthropic to train AI. Mad props to Andrea Bartz Charles Graeber and Kirk Wallace Johnson who sued and established the class action. Anthropic has settled for 1.5 billion dollars. theguardian.com/technology/202…

@matigary What really is the end game because so far it’s looking more like a defeat than a win. These days I just go on @Jamwanda2 for updates and clips on the war.

@MurapaG My understanding was that a precast wall is not a permanent structure and does not need approval. A brick wall is permanent & needs approval. There is also the option to fine and approve retrospectively

How is this correct? How easy is it to get approval? The procedure for demolition should be as difficult as the one for getting approval. This is a clear imbalance of power. There is a third alternative that is not being explored here and we just let people get away with much

#dandarostreets City Council authorities are demolishing durawalls that were constructed without approved building plans in several residential areas. Is this strict enforcement or too harsh on homeowners? Share your thoughts...👏🏾💯✔️ Follow our WhatsApp Channel: whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va…

U.S. Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal says he is angry and fearful at the specter that Trump will launch a ground invasion in Iran. "It seems that we are on the way to deploying American troops in Iran to achieve any of the many goals here," said Blumenthal. Blumenthal often collaborates with the well-known Republican "hawk" Lindsey Graham, one of the main lobbyists of an attack on Iran.

The answer is already given in the article & that’s good. The issue we face in Africa is that we may want connectivity between some places but then they won’t make any business sense. Recently FastJet had to abandon the Harare - Lusaka route due to low numbers. You can’t fly an E145 that route with 10 people one way & expect to make any profit. They even tried promotions but that didn’t even help. The infrastructural issues coupled with very low numbers make the Kinshasa - Lusaka route a terrible move for any operator.
The EastAfrican@The_EastAfrican

Congolese travellers returning from Livingstone, Zambia, recently spent eight night hours crouched at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport waiting for a flight to Addis Ababa, where they would connect to Kinshasa, a journey of nearly 7,000km and more than 10 hours in the air. Zambia and the DRC share a border, one traveller noted. A direct flight from Lusaka to Kinshasa would cover the 1,872km distance in under three hours. But no such route exists. zurl.co/EE7XN

The Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) represents a deliberate step on the path towards a fully fledged single currency system, a journey that began with the introduction of the Bond Note. Each phase of the domestic currency framework has served a specific purpose in stabilising and restructuring the monetary environment. We are now in the penultimate phase, focused squarely on resource mobilisation and the accumulation of sufficient reserves to provide credible backing for the currency. Currently, reserves stand at approximately US$1.3 billion, equivalent to about 1.2 months of import cover. The strategic objective is to build this to at least six months of import cover in line with international benchmarks for currency stability. Achieving this target will depend on increasing gold production, expanding export earnings, strengthening domestic savings, and minimising financial leakages. The perspective that 2030 need not be treated as a rigid deadline suggests that, with disciplined execution and accelerated reforms, the necessary conditions for a fully stabilised single currency could be achieved well before that date. The future is bright! Don't listen to money changers who call themselves the market.
