@Osint613 That's only the case because the Saudi and US regime sabotage every competent leader in Lebanon, to keep our country "maleable". I am sure you've read the book "Confessions of an economic hitman".
English

U.S. Envoy Tom Barrack painted a grim picture of Lebanon’s collapse, contrasting the country’s institutions with Hezbollah’s growing dominance.
“There’s no central bank. The banking system is bust. There’s no electricity, people rely on private generators. For water and education, you need private providers. So what’s the state? The state is Hezbollah,” Barrack said.
He continued, “In the south, Hezbollah provides water, education. It has 40,000 soldiers; the LAF has 60,000. But Hezbollah soldiers make $2,200 a month, LAF soldiers $275. Hezbollah has 15–20,000 rockets and missiles; LAF soldiers have old jeeps and AK-47s. What’s happening here?”

@dancohens @BeckettUnite so because there was a colonizer prior to Israel, they get to colonize too? That's like a man justifying abusing his wife, by saying that her ex abused her too.
English

@BeckettUnite Palestine was NEVER a country.
It was always just a geographical location ruled by foreign nations cursed for thousands of years long before Samson and Delilah.

@ghadaaoun4 If I had my own company I would want judge Ghada Aoun on the advisory board. I think people like her can really turn Lebanon around. I hope she runs for the next elections.

@RaniaKhalek It's important to not overlook the popular movement that dismantled the fake foreign-fabricated civil war, and upheld Lebanese citizenry starting in 1989. You don't have to like the party that emerged from the fpm to acknowledge this fact, but you do need to challenge stereotypes

I originally interviewed As’ad a couple days before Saudi Arabia launched its latest assault on Lebanon. He was kind enough to come back on to talk about these new developments, you can watch his crucial take in the first 10 min of the interview.

The Lebanese civil war wasn’t just a sectarian bloodbath, it was an imperialist attack on the Arab left. US/Saudi/Israel continue their attack today to destroy resistance to their hegemony. WATCH my interview w/ @asadabukhalil on the their role then & now youtu.be/UOtLIHHhXlQ

@danaelkurd True, many in the US assume we're incapable of nuance, yet we're the ones noticing contradictions between US governmental institutions: the US won't sanction the Lebanese central bank gov but its embassy has trained Lebanon judges in investigating corruption (04/2021).

@hani_aboufadel6 This is a step towards making other electric cars, including some that are more accessible. We clearly need to stop relying on imports, and fuel-operated cars. Besides there is such a thing as solar charging stations: forbes.com/sites/kensilve… , and we certainly have lots of sun.

I support this drive to bring a shipment of free baby formula to Lebanon. The organization leading this, Lebanon Strong has already delivered several shipping containers containing aid to the Lebanese public. gofundme.com/f/baby-formula…

@RaniaKhalek @manolo_realengo Could we have an online conference for all countries that went through the "sabotage, fake-help and conquer" that the US tried on all of our economies lately? That's Lebanon, Cuba, Equador, ... Or at least send some feedback to the CIA.
English

Watch my latest with @manolo_realengo on how the US tightened the noose around Cuba during the pandemic and now blames the Cuban government for the shortages and misery caused by the US blockade. And the media trumpets the lies ⬇️

Those food & medicine shortages behind the Cuba protests? They're a result of the US blockade, which Trump increased & Biden maintained during the pandemic as Cuba sent doctors around the world to fight COVID WATCH @manolo_realengo & @RaniaKhalek explain: youtu.be/Egep9bc_AWo

@KenRoth Who allowed the US-funded taliban to have an opinion? The misogynists who throw acid at afghani school girls are not political thinkers. And if Russia can annihilate ISIS in Syria in 5 years, why didn't the US exterminate the Taliban in 20 yrs? To not waste the virus they built?

@DailyStarLeb What a contrast between the death culture of Israel, and the Lebanese culture that treats human life as sacred. In 2019 the minister of justice, Marie-Claude Najm ordered Lebanese internal security forces to never harm any protesters.
