@bidonica1 I can understand RAGING BULL losing Best Picture and Director to ORDINARY PEOPLE and Redford (especially after the attempt on Reagan). But GOODFELLAS losing those categories to DANCES WITH WOLVES and Costner was ridiculous.

@OneTruePoster Martin wrote the Mercy chapter before he scrapped the five year gap, so the FM training for Arya was in the cards from early on. But I think the original plan was a jump cut to the Arya as Mercy shock and flashbacks filling in how she spirals into that state.
