Today, @amnesty visited 2 mass graves on the outskirts of Damascus, where it seems the Assad government dumped the bodies of detainees from various detention facilities & prisons, incl Saydnaya. Those detainees had either been executed or died from torture/conditions of detention

Was not expecting this from Mearshimer - not necessarily surprised but wasn’t expecting him to be so candid about it. He’s got more integrity and commitment to principle, against genocide, than so many even in my own community who are “struggling” with their vote.
