@TKopelman I disagree, everyone should start saving and investing from the 1st $ earned. I view this as a future income stream. Most folks will not try to create all 7 at once. ALWAYS have a 2nd income stream - these jobs ain't loyal.

“The average millionaire has 7 streams of income.” Let’s face it, we’ve all heard this quote a million times And, while I believe this is true that multiple income streams are great long term Focusing on this early on might not be the best advice for millennials Let me tell you why... If you follow this route to early, you’ll need to learn about: - investing - real estate - being a property manager - various side hustles - selling - managing a business - selling a course - etc. Just to try and get to 7 income streams All of this will distract you from becoming better at your main job because you are trying to do so much at once and only will be able to commit a small amount of time to each area You know what usually happens after that You’re not going to become GREAT at any single one of them You will be an average investor, average landlord and property finder, average business owner, and most importantly, pretty average at your job This is not the goal The better idea is to concentrate on one thing at a time and master it It is by far the easiest to grow your income and wealth by doubling down and becoming great at that 1 specific thing Then after that, you can go ahead and focus on other income streams to diversify your wealth It’s just something you shouldn’t do too early So here's the takeaway Develop expertise in one area Increase your income there And then branch out into other areas overtime This is one of the best pieces of career advice I can provide Specialize early!
