like no bullshit at all, this movie wasn't horrible. that doesn't mean however that the other movies that would've followed were also going to be immune to being dogshit. a sequel at the very least to get the green ranger in and have some resolution to that would've been fine

Power Rangers 2017 is a byproduct of every bad blockbuster convention there was back then.
You got mechas that look more like the Bayverse Transformers mashed together with the "let's take this franchise and make it DARK and REALISTIC" trend that began with The Dark Knight.

@pastraspec This is not true, the movie was good, but it had some flaws, otherwise it was okay, but they showed superheroes, not child warriors like in a cartoon, and it can still be improved in the sequel, which we really believe in. Go Go Power Rangers 2017 Back in action 🤩

This film was ass and idk why people keep trying to say otherwise. The designs for the suits/zords were terrible, the tone was all over the place, the pacing was so slow, and we barely got to see them do anything in their actual suits. It felt embarrassed to be a toku film

The failure of the 2017 Power Rangers movie will never not hurt and it seemed like it had everything going for it. - A favorable release date with Fate of the Furious not releasing until 3 weeks later. - A very reasonable 100 million dollar budget - Good trailers and a good marketing strategy - A cool update for modern audiences and the new generation. Yet when the movie released, almost no one was interested; not even the toy line sold well. I’ll never understand why.
