Have you ever opened a scholarship application and thought: 😩 “This is too long.” 😩 “I don’t even know where to start.” 😩 “What if I fail again?” You are not alone. Thousands of students feel this way, but the difference is some quit, while others choose to push through with the right guidance. Now here is the question: 👉 If you have already registered for the 30-Day Scholarship Challenge, drop a 💪 to show you are ready to push through! 👉 If you have not registered yet, comment NOT YET and I will share details with you. Your scholarship journey is too important to leave to chance. The choice is yours. 🚀

The danger of comparison is that it shifts your focus outward instead of inward. Instead of asking “How can I grow?”, you start asking “Why am I not like them?” That kills your ability to be grateful. Makes you hateful. It makes you ignore how far you’ve come, because you’re too busy measuring how far someone else has gone. The only person you should compare yourself with is "who you were yesterday." That’s a race you can actually win. Nothing is more freeing than measuring progress by your own growth, not someone else’s timeline.

An uncomfortable truth many don't like to admit is that: Even good people will still fail without the right strategy. "Oh, but he's a good person..." Hard work is great, but it doesn't automatically guarantee success. You can work day and night, give your best, and still miss out simply because you didn’t approach it the right way. Strategy bridges the gap between effort and results. That’s why it’s not just about working hard. It’s about working smart, planning ahead, and positioning yourself right. Good intentions need good strategies. Otherwise, the results may never match the effort.

The young man we just interviewed had applied for the @MtScholarships three times. I am pleased he didn't give up.

There’s no shame in starting over. The real loss is letting what broke you stop you from trying again.

When we first started the MT Scholarships, some old friends and distant family members (those much closer to me know better) would send me the profile of their candidate, asking me to “consider” them for the scholarship. It used to annoy me and I would go into a lengthy tirade, giving them lectures on nation building, bla bla bla. These days, I don’t even say anything. If someone sends a candidate for consideration, I just say, “ok.” Sometimes sef, I would say, “thanks for the recommendation.” Come and collect it.
