Your goal as a trader is to minimize trading errors. If you can do that and have an edge, the numbers will work themselves out.

The only advice i would give a son is the world hates you until you become useful. then it pretends it never hated you, and you must remember that it did, or you will start believing the love is real. and that is how they tame you

@avikkfp I’d prefer industry standard leverage with 4 hours payout time. Fast payouts in a firm don’t mean anything if traders can’t risk even 1% of their accounts. Prop firms are supposed to review payouts,so having few hours wait time is okay. You are not brokers.

for a good year, all you need are a few good months for a good month, all you need is one good week for a good week, all you need is one good trade focus on one good trade at a time this is the 80/20 law in trading 20% of your trades will make 80% of your profits the problem is that most of you expect to make money on 100% of your trades you want to take a trade every day of the week you force mediocre setups in between the actual good ones instead of waiting for the few that actually matter, you dilute your edge by taking action when you shouldn’t one good setup can pay for days of waiting an A+ framework allows you to scale into multiple positions while keeping your open risk at 1R one such trade can make your month but that only works if you’re patient enough to wait being patient is what pays

@_not_a_fish Just remember, you did not account for intuition when you gathered your data. So do not allow intuition to make decisions for you while you take your trades. Best thing you can do is size down but always follow the rules of the model.

You will naturally get good at something you keep doing over a long period of time. Money becomes a by-product of that.

@raunitfx @FTMO_com It’s high time we start voicing our concerns in this space. There is no regulatory body and we only have each other. If a firm is obviously ripping of traders with unrealistic changes and rules then they should be called out. We used to preach about risking 1%, now we can’t?

If anyone using @FTMO_com has faced payout issues due to slippage in entries where your payout got rejected because the risk exceeded 1%, or your account got restricted because of the 1% rule I want to address this. The same thing happened to me. I passed the challenge fairly, but still faced issues. Because of this, I’m planning to come up with a solution or support system to help traders who are going through the same situation. If they’re ignoring genuine cases, then maybe we need to find or build alternatives that actually listen to traders. I personally lost around $13,000, which is a huge amount especially in India. I understand the struggle. There was a time when I was making just $100 a month, so I can’t ignore this issue. If you’ve faced something similar, reach out.
Raunit Sachdeva@raunitfx

First time: I made around $8,000 USD, but my payout was rejected because they said I didn’t follow the 1% risk per trade rule (hidden rule) Second time: I traded very carefully and made around $5,000 USD, strictly keeping my risk below 1%. (Near to 0.8%) However, due to entry slippage, my risk was shown as 1.1%. You can clearly see this in the screenshots. That single issue completely destroyed my psychology. After that, things started going downhill. Because of the mental pressure created by these situations, I ended up blowing that account. The impact didn’t stop there it affected my performance on @Alpha_Futures_ accounts, where I was aiming for two max payouts. Instead, I lost what could have been $6,000+ more in payouts. Overall, because of this entire situation, I lost $10,000–$15,000 USD, which is a huge amount for me. Anyone who trades prop firms knows how much hard work, discipline, and mental strength it takes to make that money. Also, the slippage they applied was around 20 pips on 2 lots, even when gold was not highly volatile at that time. I want to be very clear: I have passed more than $5 million in total funding, so I understand prop firm rules deeply. This is not about lack of knowledge it’s about how rules are applied and judged. I’m not forcing any opinion on anyone. I’m leaving this story with you, my community, and with @FTMO_com to judge and decide.

Remember when everybody thought instant funding would change the industry? Yeah, that was fun for 3 minutes. Nothing kills hype more than having 4% max drawdown that also trails.

@t0mbfx In addition, this doesn’t mean you won’t still have losses. Your trading is more controlled and losses can be easily recovered. 5 trades, 3 losses and 2 wins is still profitable.

Unpopular opinion: Most traders would be way more profitable if they traded LESS You don't need 10 trades a week You need 3-5 really good setups that tick all your boxes Quality over quantity will always win in trading

One advice I took from traders before going into prop fully was to stay under the radar. Consistently doing 2% - 4% in payouts over a long period of time is definitely better than trying to get 10% payout and getting banned, rejected or getting accounts deactivated.
