I watched the movie '1917' yesterday for the first time. The old me would have been impressed with its technical merits and 'deep war statement'. Today, the new awakened me just saw another stereotypical war movie playing at my emotional response in typical dramatic ways and, in the end just made it clear what an idiotic farce war really is. @GANJARAMBO420 Labor costs were significantly lower. We also didn’t have prefabricated materials. Almost everything was done by hand by people in quarries and skilled tradespeople on site.
