@big_duca Almost every workflow I would require to be long running is maybe 20% LLM running something and 80% just deterministic code. The long running agent workflows mostly suck IMO because spec is pretty finite and you end up spending more time reviewing and fixing than it's worth

Maybe I’m ngmi. But I stoped trying to run agent tasks over night. Half the time it just burns tokens and the output is shit. So you spend with no ROI. Maybe that changes soon but right now it’s just a money pit.

@allinbitcoin_ Ai 3d mesh models are pretty garbage rn. I don't see a world where cad get replaced by ai, but I see a world where optimization software like ntopo gets more accessible. If you haven't tried adding textures to prints it opens a whole new world

Man bad people ruin stuff for everyone. I used to help people over email. Now I get tons of scam emails every single day of people acting like they are customers. And then try to get me to download CSVs and such to "help them". It has become impossible to tell them apart from regular users bc they make accounts, add wallets, and sometimes even pay for us (usually with crypto tho). Man...

i wanted to do an infinite chat using openai responses api and server-side conversations. so they have this automatic compact threshold, so all you need to do is to send new messages. my test convo was already over 100k tokens, and i set the threshold to 80k. it seems to be triggering compaction after every message, but the encrypted compaction blob looks extremely large (over 1mb) and the token usage for this convo keeps growing linearly (at 120k tokens now). maybe i misunderstand something, maybe it's a server-side bug, maybe just underdocumented, but codex couldn't figure it out.

Why am I not scared of AI replacing our accounting service? Because it's non-deterministic. Meaning, you give it the same crypto data 2x and can get a different result out. People trying to use AI to do their tax will get cooked when it hallucinates. You will always want a human to sanity check the work. That's why I am using AI to build tools that make the crypto accounting process more streamlined. Vs. trying to use AI to do the actual work.

No the carpet is probably attached to the subfloor, tear it up and then lay your floor. I will suggest just doing thick wear layer LVP tho, will last long and not be a total nightmare to install. When you tear up your carpet you will probably have to tear the trim and paint too

Claude Code wiped our production database with a Terraform command. It took down the DataTalksClub course platform and 2.5 years of submissions: homework, projects, and leaderboards. Reminder: Umbra is the only privacy protocol on Solana that enables fully private-to-private transfers. Other protocols rely on public deposits into a shared pool and withdrawals back to public addresses. The privacy comes from breaking the link between deposit and withdrawal, but both endpoints remain public. This makes educated guessing possible and requires careful operational security to preserve privacy. Most users simply aren’t aware of, or equipped for, that level of opsec. With Umbra, funds move entirely within a shielded environment unless the user chooses to unshield. They remain private the whole time. Observers cannot see anything meaningful. This removes the need to rely on small anonymity sets or wait for many transactions to maximize privacy. You can send completely privately to other shielded accounts. This is literally how Zcash operates, shielded to shielded by default. With Umbra, we achieve similar privacy guarantees directly on Solana, but with significantly better UX and support for any token. Do you understand?
