bruh ……. 91% gross margin
you could double that AWS bill and it’d still be best in class 🤣
Daniel Lockyer@DanielLockyer
According to their filing, Figma has a $300k/DAY AWS bill 🫠

@laybornjaymes GBB - Nice to meet you. Was at this game as an illini fan. Agree that court storming is a sign that you haven’t been there in a long while (it was a rough 20 yrs)
Saw in your bio that you are a Michigan fan, but go to MSU. Can you reconcile this for me?
English

@takhtehchianmd Dr. T, the Illini group chats are talking. Your negativity is contagious and this post is nonsense at best and self serving at worst.
Would you take Dain over Tomi or Morez? Can’t have all three…

@wileycwj My hot take is that California actually isn’t more expensive to live in when you adjust for access to economic opportunity and proximity to recreation.
It is only expensive if you choose a business or career path better suited for a low cost geography…
English

my hot take is that most of the “it’s too expensive to live” claims are really just people not being aware of lifestyle creep of the last 30yrs
a starter home where i grew up is approx $100/sqft
if you adjust for inflation, it’s exactly the same price as it was in 1990 🤷🏻♂️
Matt Forney@mattforney
The sheer amount of gaslighting in my replies is incredible. I was there. I've seen how the lifestyle my family had has become unattainable for people my age. Let me explain how I grew up just to illustrate how insane the cope is.
English

@GayBearRes Something I have never heard, but think about.
What if you eliminate off dribble 3 pointers. Would require you to manufacture an open look for a catch and shoot to unlock 3 points.
3’s are fine…. Large percentage of possessions devolving into a step back three is gross.
English

@Camp4 There is a vintage of duplexes built in Milwaukee from same era that have similar effect.
Often get overlooked because of the more ornate 1920’s vintage or new product, but very solid homes built for families to grow in for generations.

English

A lot of people would say this is an ugly house but I find a certain beauty in these simple 1950’s homes. Maybe it's nostalgia for a bygone era.
I walked with the postwoman for a couple blocks and she knew every family (including pets) by name. I saw vintage cars in driveways. Chain link fences. Young families, elderly couples, and everything in between.
It's a distinctly middle class vibe that has been lost.
This 1000 square-foot home is in a great location (a short walk from Fort Worth's most exclusive country club) and would sell for about $250k—a great starter home for a young family.
Maybe the way forward in housing is to take a step back in time.

@itsAntWright Or we just make it the granted right of a team who wins on the road to plant their flag.
English

How long will it be before the NCAA or conferences start imposing significant fines on schools for planting their flag on an opponent's field to avoid altercations
Jordan Crammer@JordanCrammer
An all out brawl broke out a the end of the UNC vs. NC State game when state tried to plant the flag at the fifty.
English

@HESaBSG Very industry and path dependent. For someone committed to finance at prestigious firm you are likely right…
Someone who isn’t quite sure (90% of 18year olds), the downside protection of free college at a school rapidly improving its rep is absolutely worth consideration.
English

@HESaBSG I think you are right directionally, but you should look into Alabamas financial aid program for national merit scholars + high achievers before you call someone you don’t know not smart enough…
Alabama for free is very very compelling.
English

@wileycwj In this universe, the ability to provide unlimited breadsticks is equivalent to having dragons in GOT
English

this is basically the plot of Game of Thrones
FuckCars@FuckCarsReddit
The European mind cannot comprehend this.
English

@hamricky2 @BigTucsonDad Damn yeah Ted Williams and Babe Ruth are so moneyball because they have the highest OBP of all time
Real diamonds in the rough. No one thought they were good before moneyball
Gtfo
English

@BigTucsonDad @MattDallas27 Likes not in my favor and this is kill shot response. Baseball groupchat now clowning me. Send the A’s fans to my house.
English

@hamricky2 @MattDallas27 Well, the movie isn’t called Challengingball so I’m still leaning on the doing it cheaply theme personally
English

@MattDallas27 @BigTucsonDad Was not about doing things cheaply. It was about challenging the process and finding new ways to win.
Would you not classify the structure of ohtani’s contract as a new way to think about roster construction?
English

@hamricky2 @BigTucsonDad Moneyball was never about OBP, especially the book. The “moneyball approach” had been going on in baseball for years at that point.
It was about finding undervalued players by going all in on that approach. It’s about doing it cheaply more than anything
English

@BigTucsonDad The impact of Billy Beane’s approach on baseball. Clearly evidenced by the way Yankees and Dodgers now evaluate offensive players…
English

@hamricky2 Hey what exactly do you think the movie moneyball was about
